Advantages Advantages Good looking? Comfortable, Easy to use, Cheap

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Slow, Tiny Tank

Well upon turning 16 years of age, there was only one choice to be made. Not the question of should I get a scooter? But, more a question of Which scooter should I choose? The week before my birthday, I went along to the local moped shop, bright eyed and full of anticipation. I was in my element amongst all of the scooters and memorabilia, I had no particular preferences of which to get, the only factor being that it must not be too expensive. My hopes fell slightly when the dealer showed me all of these marvellous scooters with their price tag suitably high to match. All hope was not lost ... more

    Advantages Advantages Good acceleration, stylish

Disadvantages Disadvantages UK petrol taxes suck!

This is a great scooter. Although it is only a 50cc it is very quick of the mark (let's just say I thrashed a BMW for a short while). The brakes are very good and responsive. The design is very good and I have the yellow/black version. The bike handles exceptionally well and I've taken numerous roundabout without touching the brakes or letting the throttle off. I would recommend this bike to anyone either as a first ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks great, drives great

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slightly louder than my previous mopeds

Bought a new 2005 piaggio nrg mc3. It looks absolutely fantastic. When i first got it max speed was 30mph which is to be expected because of the restrictions. My mechanic told me to bring it back to him after 500miles and he will service it and de-restrict it. 500 miles later (4 days) and brought the bike in. you probably wondering how did i drive 500 miles in 4 days. Up and down a dual carriageway for hours trying to run the bike in. Collected the bike the next day, full throttle nearly threw myself off the bike and wow, 60mph in no time. I have had 3 previous mopeds, im 22, i just love them ... more

.The piaggio extreme is a very comfortable and easy ride. This machine sorts the men from the boys and I must admit I've had my problems concerning security and people trying to nick my bike and had to spend 6 weeks fixing the problem but now im on the road its like a dream. see i turned 16 last september and am now thinking of taking my bike test and i advise you lot out there that piaggio is a great bike for college like me. as im young i feel im entitled for some fun on the roads and trust me i have. i got 70 mph going down a dual carriageway and it was an expireiance i mean obvious my ... more
