The thought of flea control is not pleasant, but it is one of the most important aspects for me of managing my cats health to keep our home running harmoniously. When we first received our cat she was an 11 week old kitten, or there about, and unfortunately she had caught fleas from her mother. This was not good at all and as soon as my husband brought her home I could tell that she had fleas just from her meowing and scratching. As I live part of the year in Spain, I really feel qualified to judge flea and tick products as here, with the heat, dogs can suffer terribly from both fleas and ticks. It is not unusual for a stray dog to die from literally being "sucked dry" by a tick mass, and many dogs here suffer from terrible flea allergies if they are not treated before the flea season (starts in Spain about March). Although Frontline is not the cheapest on the market, at our local vet shop they sell the pipettes individually so you do not have to pay out for three all at once.
