Vicks Sinex.....
You will see it on the supermarket or Chemist shelf. It will be in a funky Green and Silver Metallic box, with Sinex in huge letters splashed over he front. It is usually kept with the cold remedies and other things that you stick up your nose when you are losing the battle with snot.
On taking it out of the box you will be faced with a white spray bottle. Its about three inches high and white in colour. It has ... ...around it,so you can easily undo it with your thumb and forefinger. Its not fiddly at all,and isnt screwed on too tight in the first place,so it should be okay for everyone to undo.
How do I use it Miss Snotty Fluff?
Well children, for a start you need to read how often you are supposed to use it.Aha there is our first mistake..it is only suitable for adults and children over six years old.

Advantages: It works and it's cheap! Disadvantages: Very addictive
Vicks Sinex Decongestant Nasal Spray is a spray which you squirt up your nostrils to give "relief from a blocked nose". The spray is recommended as suitable for anyone aged over 6 years, although I wouldn't be too happy giving it to a child to use - it's the kind of thing a child might squirt up their nose every five minutes if they could and I don't think that would be very healthy! I've used the spray quite a lot of times and would recommend it, ... ...£2.50 per 20ml bottle - the bottle doesn't state how many applications there are per bottle, but one bottle has seen me through several colds so I'd reckon that it probably contains several hundred squirts. According to the instructions you need to reuse every six to eight hours but on my experience the effects start to wear off within about three to four hours. It certainly does what it says - within seconds of squirting the spray your nose will ...

The claim on the packaging is to 'clear a stuffy nose caused by a cold, hayfever or sinusitis.'

~~ How do I use it? ~~
It really is a simple medication to take. I prefer the 'pump' action of the bottle to the 'squeezy' type bottle that you can also buy. To use, insert the nozzle into the nostril. Place your thumb on the base of the bottle, with index and middle fingers on the rim of the pump. Firmly squeeze the pump on the bottle to deliver either one or two sprays. Repeat for the other nostril. As you depress the pump, it is helpful ...

...sorry for myself I spied Vicks Sinex Decongestant Nasal Spray. I remember the adverts of old with poor old Malcolm and his problem of going to work with a runny nose, but no!! Advantages: It works Disadvantages: It can cause rebound congestion
Vicks was originally a trusted company dealing with common cold symptomatic relief. Their best-known product is Vapour rub, a greasy ointment that contains oils of menthol and eucalyptus that gave off a characteristic smell. That smell penetrated even stuffed up noses and gave the impression of clearing the nose, as these smells were often the first smells smelt by that nostril for days. Get the clue here, the product was one that sold a smell.
... ...and in hay fever season Vicks recruits several thousand Sinex junkies a year. I told you there was a dark side to that seemingly benign caring company that we have all grown up with.
So does Sinex have a role? Well yes I believe it does. It is effective, it works quickly, less than ten minutes usually, and it is cheap. It relieves much misery from colds and can allow people to continue working and sleeping as close to normal as they can with a cold. ...
