In desperation after spending most of the winter suffering from various lurgies that turned into chest infections for me, and irritating coughs and sniffles for my daughter, I bought one of these. Initially cost was the main driving force but when I researched a humidifier I also took into account tank size and ease of refilling. My daughter and I still co-sleep and when we have colds etc we often wake each other up with snot or coughing etc so this seemed to do the job at a good price.
