    Advantages Advantages Reasonably priced, effective.

    Breathe, Breathe In The Air... Vick's Vapo Rub is one of the products that I have grown up with. During my childhood days it was always around in the family home. When I married and had my own home this was one of the first things I bought for my medicine cupboard. All of my four children have used this at sometime during their childhood, when suffering with colds and flu and, in fact, will still use it now.     Advantages Advantages Versatile, can use as a rub for blocked sinuses or on aching muscles, or for steam inhalation

    ~~~What Is It? ~~~ Vicks VapoRub is one of those special little gems that once you’ve used it, you have no idea how you lived without it. I feel that I was a latecomer on the Vicks train – a few years ago its popularity exploded; everywhere I turned, everyone that I spoke to, glowed with praise about it.     VICKS VAPORUB I thought I would write this review as I am using Vicks VapoRub at this specific moment in time, and with it been this time of year when alot of people get sniffles and nasty colds with the multitude of weather which is coming our way. Vicks as a brand: Vicks has been around since the late 19th century, and has stuck on our shelves since then, best known for the VapoRub product, they also have a HUGE product range, with their main products with Nyquil and Dayquil (for day and night use).     God it's December (its an old review ok ) and not only am I all depressed about having to spend some money at Xmas but my sinus is giving me grief. Now with me that involves my nose and head being blocked up and some really obscene and crude sniffing noises being made…No I don't have a coke habit, well maybe diet coke but that's about it……..     One of my earliest childhood memories is of being ill with a cold and having my mum rub Vick's VapoRub all over my chest. Now this is not quite the pampering, soothing experience that you might expect as my mum worked as a farm hand and then a cleaner, so her hands were as rough as sandpaper. I can just remember screaming and begging her not to rub it any more! Based on such memorable early experiences, I have subsequently gone on to torture my own children with a touch of Vicks whenever they come down with a cold.     Last night was the best night’s sleep I have had in almost a week. I slept nearly the whole night without being awoken with a hacking cough and it was due in the main to the long forgotten and suddenly discovered little pot of this stuff.     I have decided to write my first op on Vicks Vapor rub for two reasons. Firstly, I was going to write on something less, how shall I say it – poncey, but I cannot think about anything at the moment being bunged up to the eyes with a ghastly cold. Secondly, I idolise Vick and I feel I have to spread the word. For many years – more than I would care to remember or even admit, I have used Vicks vapor rub.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Smell can be overpowering to some

    This tried and tested pot of goo hasn’t changed for many years, I can remember it as a child (all those years ago!). I hated the smell of it back then – it meant illness and medicine and all such things. These days I find the smell quite reassuring and therapeutic so I am happy to choose to use it. Vicks’ have been around for years, also producing nasal sprays and inhalant sticks based on the same ingredients for the same effects, but let’s concentrate on the Vapour Rub here.     I've just been in a lecture and 70% of the students there were sniffing, coughing and blowing their noses. By the end of the lecture I too was one of them (must remember to keep tissues in bag from now on..). Why do people insist on coming in to infect people with their germs when they are ill? Anyway I know that my sniffly snotty feeling will be gone by Sunday as I have a secret weapon. The one remedy that I’d recommend for colds is Vicks VapoRub.     Well, today Leeds has seen the first frost of the year and to go hand in hand with this I have developed my first cold of the year. MY COLD I would describe my cold as a head cold. It began with slight sinus pains, general headache and now I have a sometimes blocked, sometimes runny nose. No flem from the lungs as yet, but you never know that may develop with time. I believe I caught this cold from some dirty, germ spreading commuter on my bus sometime last week. HOW AM I TREATING MY COLD with Vicks VapoRub.
