I finally parted with my Gateway laptop and bought a desktop, with it came the View Sonic 17 inch monitor. After looking at a laptop screen for so long, this 17 in. looks huge! So far I am impressed with quality of this monitor. The screen is clear and crisp. For me it's like looking at the internet in a whole new light. The ViewSonic monitor is well build and has an easy to use menu system. The overall viewable area of 16” is well worth the purchase. I purchased the monitor over 3 years ago and it is still going strong like when I first took it out of its box. It has lasted me through a university course, so it’s very durable and strong. ...to choose from in the menu system, rotation, size, pincushion and also degauss. These features just add a little extra value to the monitor. A disadvantage of the monitor is that it is quite heavy, this is maybe to be expected from a 17” monitor, but I have lifted lighter ones.
