Viewsonic monitors are among the best monitors I have ever used. I really enjoy their picture quality and used to enjoy stability. I bought over 50 different Viewsonic monitors for companies I work for. I really felt safe with Viewsonic until I bought my P815 21 inch monitor.
My situation
When I first bought the Monitor, the picture quality was great, refresh rates were incredible. I loved it. A couple of months later, my monitor broke. I took ... ...or refund.
Customer Service
Viewsonic has very poor solutions to their problems. Their customer service hardly ever call you back when they say they will. Their main solution is to wait wait wait wait. They are not open minded to other solutions and blow you off. P.S. One of the customer service reps reported to me that the P817 model breaks down the most. ...

ViewSonic squeezes 20in out of the 21in tube as the viewable area, achieving a dot pitch at the centre of 0.25mm. With an appropriate graphics card, the P815's recommended pixel resolution is 1600x1200 at a vertical refresh rate of 92Hz, but the display is actually built to reach resolutions up to 2048x1536 for special applications.
The screen image is good but, inevitably for a low-cost monitor, not perfect. Despite ... ...overall, however, the image is reasonably well regulated and consistent: there are no patches or evidence of mottling. Convergence and text clarity are good too, although in our tests the P815 wasn't so happy at certain resolutions where text appears to lose focus. Step up or drop back a level, and the problem is solved instantly. There is evidence of ballooning when flashing the image between black and white but it shouldn't be noticed in everyday ...
