Advantages: Great picture, high resolution Disadvantages: Screen height cannot be adjusted
I recently purchased a new computer, so I started looking for a new monitor. I needed a fast response time, because I play a lot of games and watch and edit dvd's.
I scoured the normal websites, reading various reviews, when I came upon Viewsonic. To be honest, I had never heard of them before, but upon reading various articles, I found them to be one of the best monitor producers currently around.
So I decided to go for a VX912. It has changed ... ...are so crisp. Why I had never bought one before is beyond me!! It really is a different world to the old crt monitor I had before.
I have read reports of people buying monitors with dead pixels, no such thing with the VX912. Every pixel is perfect.
Ease of use is brilliant. Simply connect the pc to the monitor via a dvi cable, and you'll have to do no more work.

The Viewsonic VX912 with a 12ms response time fitted the bill. I have now owned one for 6 months and apart from a tendency to merge some shadows together I have found it to be without fault. Talking of faults, my particular Screen had no pixel faults whatsoever. The stand is very good though does not raise up or down. The OSD (on screen display) is very simple and easy to set though if one chooses the DVI (digital Video interface) ... ...definitely superior through the DVI interface. One might need to lower the overall brightness though. I would never go back to a CRT again after using this monitor. The colour accuracy is just fine (and I am a fussy user here).
Gamers should buy this with confidence. ...
