Advantages: Screen Size, Features, Design / Finish, Quality, 2ms for Gaming !! Disadvantages: None found so far
...I then came across the Viewsonic VX922 - quite by co-incidence after receiving an eMail from an online store that I use quite a lot for components etc, and my luck was in, they were having a sale on TFT screens.
After reading a couple of reviews on the screen, I decided to give it a blast. I phoned, and ordered the screen, and was actually told that I was lucky, they had just that day received in a new shipment, and they were selling fast. Apparently ... ...for last year, and this ViewSonic really kicks that screen into touch. The DVD quality was a clear and crisp as the gameplay. there was no shadowing on the images, or ghosting. there was also no pixelation. For me - I couldnt see anything wrong.

Advantages: Quality 19" Monitor which is Bright, Sharp with Colourful images, 2ms Response Time Disadvantages: A bit more expenisve than your average monitor, but worth it!
...I first found the ViewSonic vx924 (not the vx922 which this model is) and was blown away when I saw it in the show room, looked a remarkable product of great quality and performance, even the guy at the showroom said he owned this model and its never let him down. The only major difference I could find with the Vx924 is 3-4ms (each site changes there mind), which the vx922 is 2ms and considerably newer.
Researching Online, looking at many sites ... ...highly recommended behind another ViewSonic monitor which I could no longer find on sale. After reading countless reviews, I put my money where my mouth is and bought the monitor from Novatech which is local to me and cost me around £285 no p+p needed. Advantages: Good looks, great performance. Disadvantages: You have to pay that little bit more for a 2ms response time.
After previously having a Viewsonic VX912 with a somewhat lacking 24ms response time or something quite ridiculous when compared to this new piece of kit, and an old pc, it was time for me to upgrade to the new VX922.
At first glance i have to admit, i was wondering what I was paying for. It looked exactly the same as the last monitor I had, but then again the looks of it are not to be worried about. It looks sleek and I personally think it has ... ...the market.
So I proceeded to plug it in, with the choice of either VGA or DVI, which both can be nicely tucked away with the power cable behind a protective cover thats removable from the back. So far everything was going well and a look at the instruction manual told me everything I needed to know. It even comes with its own driver installation and monitor callibration CD to help you along if you need it. When I got it running it was excellent. ...

having the monitor for 2 weeks now i can say i am satisfied with it, the 2ms respone time is a really nice feature as not allot of monitors can match this specification. it provides pixel sharp quality while playing games and produces no 'ghosting' unlike most other tft monitors do. as i mentioned above if you are playing videos in full screen they can look pixelated, but this is due to the fact that the video wont be in the same resolution as the ... ...look flawless, crisp, sharp, vibrant i noticed a big difference in the colur and texture of movie when being played
the design is simple and looks nice, there is a power button, an options button displaying brightness contrast etc, a button to navigate the options, and a button to switch to the dsub
another nice featur of this monitor is it allows u to connect 2 computers to it via the 1 dvi socket and the 1 dsub (vga) socket. the monitor comes ...

...bit more blurry on the ViewSonic vx922 than it does on my sony sitting right next to it (both hooked up to the same graphics card, dual display). The difference is minimal but if you spend more time online reading a forum than playing games, then this wouldn't be the monitor I'd recommend. Getting a monitor with an 8ms response time with a sharper picture would be my recommendation. The last thing I noted was the viewing range on the monitor. If ...
