Advantages: small, cheap, easy to use Disadvantages: no memory card
...till counter we saw a Vivitar 200 - Digital Video Recorder and Digital Still Camera. The price tag was set at £99.99, our ultimate limit. Neither of us noticed a slip of paper which had fallen over to the front of the device.
We asked the assistant to have a look at the camera, only to find that the slip of paper actually stated that the camera had been reduced to £49.99, bargain! We did ask about the specifications of the camera but neither me ... ...A mistake?.... perhaps!
The camera is silver and sized to fit into a top shirt pocket. Quite handy. The 1.5TFT LCD display flips up and twists when in use. On first examination, the camera seemed easy enough to operate., with only seven buttons on the whole camera, one being the power button. We looked at each other, how difficult could it be?
Needless to say we bought the camera, excited at the prospect of finally having a camera, nevermind a ...

...one.
I spotted the Vivitar DVR 200 on an internet shopping channel and when the price dropped to £69 I decided to treat him and so far I haven't lived to regret it.
It's silver in colour, with an on screen LCD display, built-in 64MB memory, 2.5 x digital zoom, MPEG 4 video compression, 2 mega pixel and is able to record 17 minutes of video. To use with a PC it requires 800 Mhz Pentium III pc, 128 MB RAM, Windows ME/2000/XP and windows media player ... ...It came with carry case, usb lead, cd for PC and leads for TV playback. It requires 2 x AA batteries (not included) which if not a good brand don't last 5 minutes and good brand doesn't last much longer!!
I have to admit that the picture quality is excellent though and the video camera comes in handy for short school performances - you don't have to stand at the back because it's small enough to use in your chair!!
I would think that there probably ...

Advantages: Light, easy to use, compact, great start out camera, well priced Disadvantages: Quality when connected to the TV.
I brought this camera at short notice to take on an exotic holiday with me as I wanted to be able to video and take photographs on holiday without looking like a typical tourist. This little camera allowed me to do this as when you are videoing its so small that its not seen as much as a normal camcorder. I choose this model as I did not have much money to spend and at £89.00 it was a great choice. I also upgraded the memory card so that we could ... ...The camera it self is light weight and compact with the screen folding in when you are not using it. You can also spin the screen round so that you can film or take photos of yourself. The on and off button is easy to use, as is the picture button and filming button. Its easy to pan in and out both on photos and filming. There is an easy to use menu bottom and once you get used to where to go for each thing then its simple to use. You can protect ...

Advantages: Lightwieght and practical Disadvantages: Batteries dont last very long, so use rechargable ones
My wife purchased one of this neat little camcorders for my birthday for around £100 - £120 including a memory upgrade. It is simplicity itself to use the quality is superb for a 2Meg device. The software which comes bundled with it enables a beginner to make quite good and impressive videos., with a host of special effects normally found on higher priced devicesI would advise purchasing rechargable batteries since the only drawback I have found ...

I revieved this camera as a gift from my gran.
It was easy to learn work and the instuctions was excellent.
The instructions told you everything you needed to know and was easy to understand.
I find this camera easy and fun to use, not only can you take pictures but you can also record mini movies and download mp3 music on to it.
This camera is small and light you can take it with you where ever you go.
when purchased you do not need to worry ... ...a memory card.
This is a great camera with great functions, the pictures come out clear and if you are listening to music or watching that mini movie you recorded the sound quality is excellent.
The only down falls to this camera I have noticed is when you try to take a picture, sometimes you find that it goes really bright and can become a blur, but if this does happen you can always change the setting on the lighting to normal, automatic or off.
