An ideal choice for those people with little prior photography experience. Very easy to use with excellent picture quality. I too was surprised at how quickly battery power disappeared! I find that viewing photos very quickly drains battery life and will be investing in rechargeable batteries. The only other down-side is that this camera is quite bulky in comparison to others on the market. I have this camera now more then 3 years and must say it's a good buy. Although there isn't any stabilizer in the cam so keep him very still while shooting (using the 2second timer can help to avoid the push button movements). Also the different settings are nice! ...nice to use! The anti-red eye flash does what it's meant for. A good buy for anyone who likes to take an easy picture. But don't forget to take good batteries (lithium batteries are the best and strongest for this one) also a big SD card can make the access to the files a bit slower ...

we have had our camera replaced as it was faulty and our new one is just as bad loosing precious memories in the process no help recieved from vivitar or amazon where it was purchased. all in all very disappointing ...
