Great sales team

Advantages: Sales team, choice, service
Disadvantages: Accessory prices

...So inside the Vodafone shop which is quite space, with phones on one wall, accesories in the middle, a help desk and a counter in opposing corners. Quite well laid out and spacey, I stood and looked at all the phones and there was a few that interested me. I also read the offers on the little cards that were provided "unlimted weekend texts if you spend £5 in the week" was the most eye catching offer I'd seen all day then "Unlimited internet use ...
...least. My first dealing with Vodafone had been a success of the highest order. By December of last year the phone was dead, and I again had to go phone shopping, with a budget of upto £120 for my birthday and christmas present from my mum (theres a review of the phone, the K770i on here by me) which was eventually bought in the Vodafone shop too I think, it was upgraded to a sim only deal a few weeks later with Phones 4 U who advised me it'd save ...

My Favourite Vodafone Store

Advantages: Staff available to give demos
Disadvantages: Not all phones in stock

...on one of the two Vodafone stores in Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield. The main store in Meadowhall is situated on Market Street. This store is reasonably large and has just undergone a major refit to install a new demo bar and to provide customers with increased access to the phones, enabling them to explore the features on the phones. There is always plenty of staff available in the store to help, and all seem knowledgeable on the phones ...
...£5 can be applied. Vodafone also have a contract with Nectar whereby customers can link up to 10 mobile numbers up to one Nectar card and claim points on their calls. You receive 2 Nectar points for every £1 you spend on Vodafone calls. Nectar and Vodafone also have promotions where if you upgrade or purchase one of their latest handsets you get bonus Nectar points. (I received 1000 bonus points when I upgraded). Vodafone operates a 14-day money ...

Helpful Depending on the branch

Advantages: See whole Vodafone phone range, accessories
Disadvantages: Not the most price compeitive, but has price match

Reading has two Vodafone retail outlets. One is not so helpful (without mentioning specific stores) and one is very helpful. This of course boils down to the mentality of the staff and perhaps more importantly the motivation given by the store manager. Anyhow needless to say I made my prepay phone purchase from the more helpful store. They were even prepared to grab a working phone from the store room to look up a specific function in the manual ...
...Vodafone, or you have a Vodafone a visit to the store will enable you to see the whole Vodafone range and the accessories, which may not be available elsewhere. Also if there is a Vodafone offer, you will know about it here e.g. 3 months free line rental. But if you are undecided about networks or are looking for a cut price deal, you would be better looking elsewhere first where they deal with all 4 networks. ....but it is useful to pick up their ...

UPDATED It should be a CRIME

Advantages: none they were useless
Disadvantages: Couldn't do anything right!

...answer. No news from vodafone for a week or two! I ring them and they say they are dealing with my account! But then a letter arrives stating that I have been refered to the debt recoverers! With an even bigger bee in my bonnett off I stormed to vodafone where I purchased the phone! Where I spoke to the most senior staff member as the manager is never there! He was sympathetic but we achieved nothing! I finally contacted the debt recovery people ...
...Well yep, you guessed it, vodafone gave them the worng details not once but twice! Its sorted now, no thanks to vodafone! I originally went to Vodaphone because of the reputation but frankly they were worse than useless and my advise is to stick well clear of them altogether! On a lighter note when dealing with vodaphone enquiries helpline then were unaware of the number change for Portsmouth last year! they were unable to give me correct telephone ...

A Very Good Service from Vodafone's High Street Store.

Advantages: Good range, able to offer you good customer care and change talk plans top up e.t.c because they are part of Vodafone.
Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive for Accesories.

Vodafone Retail have always been very helpful, I brought my first mobile from them and have always used them ever since. The provide good customer service and because they are part of Vodafone you can top up automatically rather than having to buy a voucher and call the top up line. They sell a good range of phones always seem to know what they are on about. There computers actually let them do things so you can go in and they will do whatever you ...
...off forms. They are definatly the best place to go if you are looking to buy a mobile on the UK's No. 1 Network. The only negitive thing is that there accesories can be more expensive tham other places and if purchasing from their website you have to pay a delivery charge. http://www.vodafone-retail.co.uk ...

Don't buy a battery, a new phone is cheaper

Advantages: Plenty of shops
Disadvantages: Not exactly helpful

I've had my mobile for a couple of years now, it s a Sagem MC920. Now I know it's not cutting edge. In fact it's not even a bit blunt now, it's out of date and that's a fact. But, I didn't expect the lack of help I got from the girl who (barely) served me in the Vodaphone shop in Buchannan St in Glasgow. When I went in, I asked if they could get me a new battery, as mine wasn't holding a charge for any length of time anymore. I hadn't even got the ...
...her computer and asked me how old the phone was. When I said a couple of years, I was informed, that their supplier didn't keep these batteries any more, and that if I wanted them to order me one, it would be at least £30. She then started down the "why don't you just get a new handset" route. Apparently it's just not worth buying a battery on it's own. Get a whole phone and you'll actually save money !!! Now like I said earlier, my little phone ...

Worth buying for the quality

Advantages: -
Disadvantages: -

I borrowed my friends mobile since she has gone away on holiday and decided to leave it with me, since her free minutes would be wasted. And although I haven’t used it that much I have noticed that the quality of reception is really good, even at peak times. An advantage over Orange mobiles already, which at the moment have awful reception quality. The prices of calls at peak times was quite high I think about 30p which is inline with the rest ...
...mobile if you have a different network, so I was left calling my friends on landlines. The customer services were really good and I did get a few text messages with promotions and advice which was good. However, I didn’t like the Vodaphone mobiles, most not all seem so brick like and I know some of you beg to differ but so few of the people I know have Vodaphone mobiles. But reception was excellent quality and I was impressed by it since Orange ...

Things to condisder before you enter

Advantages: Direct with voda if you want voda dont get everything else shoved in your vision when you just want voda
Disadvantages: Limited, stuck too rigid profit margins, not all 4 networks

The reason that Vodaphone are there is too make money and so they have tried to cut out the middle men such as Single point and 4u- so you ocnnect with them direct. This causes lots of confusion for those of us with contracts with vodaphone, well thats what you thought anyway, you have to go through those who use singlepoint, 4u or connect (which is the vodaphone direct one!) Nightmare! So not only is there vodaphone out there but vodaphone middle ...
...that cant sell u 4u or singlepoint offers! So be warned if youve got a contract with either of these two companies. This is why it is best to check who you are connected through therough vodaphone, not all high street retailers connect direct, some use the middle companie, even though its still a vodaphone contract in a sense. My advice about using a Vodaphone shop for impartial advice is that you simply wont get any there. My best advice for you ...

Quick review of Vodafone Shop

Called at Cwmbran branch of Vodafone who were very helpful. . Passing their Newport branch a few days later thought I would call in to sort the phone. Two guys in store - not focussed on service - told them what I wanted - after getting the order wrong and having to re-input it they told me my Blackberry would go live in three days despite my express instructions that I was going away until 1st August and not to connect until then. Told they could not advise if the connection would work in China - I need to call head office. Hours of calls later cancelled the deal - will never visit Newport shop again. ...

Vodafone

Advantages: The Vizzavi site is utter brilliance in its own way!
Disadvantages: It takes a long time to down load.

...I think this is because vodafone customers can make vizzavi relate to their specific needs. The site also contains lots of information as well so if you are thinking of buying a mobile phone from Vodafone you should read it. Even though I wrote an opinion the other day about vodafone charging for most things and I was not a bit happy about it, I believe that they make up for this by providing an excellent site, which has lots of free utilities. Also ...
...straight there. Back to Vodafone anyway now. I walked into one of their shops today and the staff were absolutely great, they were so helpful. As on previous occasions I was not used to this. It has certainly given me incentive to visit again. Let me know via message board if you have anything you think should be said. markcollins ...

Quick review of Vodafone Shop

Not refunded but charged double Bought an unlock code, which I tried 3 times, did not work and then received with help from the shop a "new" code which I tried 2x and turned out to be the same one, so phone locked forever! THANK YOU VODAFONE! Then they refund me, but instead of giving the money back - they take an extra £20.00 off. So now Vodafone owes me £40.00. It is just a laugh, cannot understand their way of working. ...

Buy vodaphone but not at a vodaphone shop

Advantages: good coverage
Disadvantages: exp

Most people on-line these days will either have or have access to a mobile phone. Vodaphone has good coverage and some good deals, but the ironic thing is that you can get a cheaper vodaphone deal at most non-vodaphone shops than you can at a vodaphone shop! For instance I got a vodaphone deal at the pocket phone shop, and when I checked it out with the vodaphone shop they could not match the deal, stating that they have to charge the vodaphone set ...

Unhelpful staff

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

i was in a voda store the other day taking a browse and a guy walks in asking "do you sell Orange phones?" He was clearly clueless. The sales staff turned around and said, "no, but we sell blue and red ones" as a joke, but personally if I knew nothing about phones I would be offended by it. Well, I don't like voda's store, because they are expensive and none of their deals are cheap. Orange has a better network and has the "OVP Virgin" price deal ...
