Advantages: Superb performance, excellent handling Disadvantages: Watch that speedo
During the servicing of my Volvo S40 (see my separate report on that little lemon) I was fortunate that the servicing agents let me have the use of an S70 on a couple of occasions. The car was finished in a Peppermint Metallic colour which is a very pale green. The colour took some getting used to but the car was a gem. I read later the car had 170bhp but it felt much more, the power just came in so beautifully needing just a squeeze of the throttle ... ...dearer anyway. Volvo's have traditionally had a poor image compared with these makes but I think both BMW and Audi have been churning out the same product for 10 years now and take their customers for granted. Volvo show with the S70 that they can produce a superb car. ...
