    Advantages Advantages works well

Disadvantages Disadvantages not kind on the eyes

When my daughter started school, I was dreading the day I found lice in her hair. I knew it was going to be inevitable, but still wasn’t looking forward to having to deal with the infestation around the family. To try and combat this, I frequently use Vosene 3 in 1 conditioning shampoo in her hair. It contains tea tree oil and lemon eucalyptus to repel head lice, so I have been going on the preventative path in hopes I won’t have to deal with the treatment for a while longer. The bottle comes in a couple of sizes of 250ml or 400ml bottles, each with a flip lid at the top. The design of the ... more

Advantages Advantages Keeps head lice at bay, leaves hair beautifully clean

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't smell exactly 'nice', doesn't condition the hair

With four children (including three school age, long haired girls), I've dealt with more head lice infestations than I can remember. I hate the little beasties, each time one of the kids catches them I thank god for my bleach and colour destroyed hair as these nasty little buggers don't tend to like my straw-like mop and I'm never left scratching myself. So when Hollie started nursery in early 2011 I decided I was going to nip it in the bud and start applying tea tree oil to her hair after washing, being aware of the fact that this is a natural head lice repellent which would hopefully prevent ... more

    Advantages Advantages Seems to work

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only getting my son to wash his hair with it

Our little lad has brought home head lice more times than I can remember and we have tried a whole range of various different creams, lotions and potions. His mum is never very keen on using harsh chemicals on his head, preferring the more ‘natural’ (but time consuming method) of raking through his hair every night he comes back from school and just catching them with the naked eye and coming his hair for hours on end. Personally, I prefer to take a more radical approach and kill the blighters all off. She won’t let me use anything other than Vosene Kids 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo at the ... more

Advantages Advantages Keep the lice at bay

Disadvantages Disadvantages Makes you itch talking about it

After having used this for several years I thought I'd review on here to recommend it for others. When my son was in reception year at school we starting getting regular letters warning that there had been a case of headlice in his class. I used to check his hair after school and one day I did find a big head lice, not kidding you it was shocking the size of it and that it had been in another child's hair unnoticed. (itching your head yet?) I have a nit comb and used that sometimes to check his hair too, but after finding this I hoped it hadn't had chance to lay any eggs so was extra cautious ... more

Advantages Advantages Cleans hair and keeps away nasty nits.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing.

Vosene 3in1 kids shampoo with head lice repellant.I first bought this in Savers for £1 about a year or so ago when my then 3 year old was coming home from school nearly every week with nits.Luckily for me he keeps his hair quite short so it wasnt too difficult to keep on top of but I would rather not have had to dealt with it every week!Whilst searching for any sort of remedies I came across this, the bright green bottle makes it stand out on the shelf and as soon as I saw Head Lice Repellant emblazoned on the bottle it went straight in my basket! It comes in a lime green coloured bottle with ... more
