Advantages: colourful, interesting and absorbing Disadvantages: none
I recently bought this for my baby daughter's first birthday. She loves it, but her big brother, who is 4, thinks it is wonderful too! He recently spent two hours solid playing with it.
The toy teaches numbers, colours, letters and includes lots of talking, music and sound effects. It takes 3 AA batteries which are included. Dont be put off my the demo you will hear when you press the buttons in the shop - the demo does not do the toy justice at ...

Advantages: Educational and Fun Disadvantages: None that I can think of
My little boy was given one of these for his first birthday last year. I’m quite surprised that he is still playing with it almost everyday as the majority of toys that he has, he has tended to play it for the first few days and then abandon it and then return to it a few months later.
As this was given as a present I was unsure of the price but I didn’t imagine it would be cheap. I was correct as a few months later I spotted it in ...

Advantages: bright, colourful, educational, loads of fun Disadvantages: none
...enough! As with all vtech products, a lot of thought and time has been put into this toy.
Standing about 1' high and 1' across in a very attractive tree design (obviously).
The main colours are green and orange with a yellow and blue slide, red swing and clear, coloured piano keys, which light up as you press them or the tunes are played, and a yellow foot. This foot can be depressed so the ball will pop back up and roll down the slide again.
Numerous ...

Advantages: Fun for both our baby and toodler Disadvantages: Balls flying everywhere
...generously presented us with the Vtech Discovery Tree. My initial dismay at yet another overly large garishly coloured platic montrosity was quickly replaced by relief as I watched my older daughter (who is nearly four) sit down for the first time with her little sister and properly play with her, working out how it worked.
They both absolutely love it. All the five differently coloured balls are supposed to be different animals and bugs and each ...

Advantages: Children learn really quickly how to use the product Disadvantages: None
We bought this toy for my 13 month old daughter this Christmas and has been the best present by far. It was bought for £19.99 and definately value for money. Basically you put the coloured balls in the top of the tree and watch them roll down to the bottom. As it gets to the bottom it rolls over coloured key notes which either sing numbers or just the tune. The balls land at the bottom on a foot and the child can press the foot and the ball will shoot ...

Advantages: Grows with the child, loads of activities Disadvantages: Quite noisy, will spend time relocating the balls
When pregnant with my second child, almost three years ago, I was confined to the UK (we lived abroad at the time) which meant my first child, who ws 20 months at the time, had to leave many of her toys behind. I went looking for a toy that would grow with her but provide enjoyment for the new baby as well. We shopped around quite a bit before discovering this tree half price in woolworths. The bright colours appealed to my daughter, and the price ...

Advantages: My son loved all the different features Disadvantages: Resulted in a 999 call
...service. I have complained to Vtech and they're offering my son anything from their range of toys but quite frankly I wouldn't want to chance something else from vtech . British Standards can't be up to scratch. I know this could have happened to any toy from other manufacturers . I will never buy anything from Vtech again simply due to the trauma we both had from one toy. I'm not saying don't buy it just be careful. Although I was there and watching ...

Quick review of VTech Discovery Tree Review ofVTech Discovery Treeby

My son was given this as a present at 18months, he loves it and still plays with it, as does his brother 9months. It's brightly coloured, durable and hard wearing. When not in use, there is an on and off button and a storage place for the balls.
