...about to have another great WWE experience, I was terribly wrong. As always, I went to exhibition mode to try out the roster. It was dismal. There were 40 odd characters to choose from, however most of them were the same as last time, apart from the likes of Jeff Hardy and Cryme Tyme. Speaking of tag teams, there were none. Okay, I'll be honest, I don't like wrestling, but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying the previous Smackdown vs Raw games. This one however, was not so enjoyable. The set-up is good; plenty of wrestlers to choose from and more to unlock, many different types of game from your basic fight to "Money in the bag" where each player attempts to grab a suitcase of money dangling from the roof, and of course plenty of different arenas. THQ's WWE SmackDown! vs RAW is great wrestling game, but in this version of the game they did only few changes looking at the previous version of the game. the graphics are like the previous version of the game but is improvement at some areas. like the crowd, and the sweaty body of the wrestlers looks a bit real. ...good and has the classic WWE wrestlers and backdrops. The game does take a while to get to grips with as the controls are new to try and make the in ring action as fast as possible. The comentary can become a little annoying as it tends to repeat itself during many matches. A great game but was not quite as good as anticipated, first of all, there are not as many superstars and extremists as i'd have liked such as the Boogeyman and Big Daddy for ECW. Also despite an ECW invasion you still can't do a season as them which is quite a dissapointment as i'd have liked to have played a season as Sandman. Also there are not as many moves available as there was before because of the new fighting styles which are good but decrease ...
...but partly bad because you can't do a season mode and GM mode at the same time and both are long so you have to go a long time without doing one of them which gets quite annoying. Other than that it has great graphics, a brilliant "Create-a" mode and good songs. It is an improvement on the previous titles but not so much as expected. ...
