...process). Thus, as the regular WWE announcement of "don't try this at home" reverberates in youngsters' ears, clever parents instead placate them with the now annual WWE computer game that ventures onto the market. Well, thumb-blisters from pretending to put Chris Benoit in the Angle-lock is a much more desirable injury than two broken ribs from leaping from the garage roof as though it was the top turn-buckle… Normally, the annual WWE game release ... ...refreshingly different to all prior WWE escapades.
Indeed, the stamina and momentum system bring a whole new element of strategy to the tried and tested simplicity of this style of beat 'em up. Advantages: Very good graphics. Smooth gameplay. Hours of entertainment Disadvantages: LONG loading times
The WWE Smackdown series has been running for several successful years now on the PS2. I had not played the similar titled game on the PS2 before playing this handheld version, so I was playing it with a very open mind.
This is a really good game that encorporates the smoothness of the games of the past, and also the simplicity in gameplay. For a game that includes so many features, that I will come on to, it is incredible how easy it is to pick ... ...from, online gaming against your friends, and the inclusion of WWE legends to keep the "old school" fans like me happy!

Advantages: A very good basis for a hand-held wrestling game. Disadvantages: Long loading times.
Wrestling games have always been popular on games consoles due to their replayability and multiplayer support. So in making the jump to hand-held, THQ have attempted to include most of what have made these games so successful.
In the main, this has been successful. The graphics are excellent by PSP standards and the games physics are not as sketchy as previous hand-held wrestlers on the GBA for example. In addition, there is no in-game commentry on the PSP version. Although this is easily overlooked, it is true to say that the music its replaced with can get irritating over time. However this in no way kills the game.
All in all, the game is definitely worth having - even if you already ...
