Diamond review   Wagamama - a piece of heaven on earth
Review of Wagamama by annaroos1

Advantages: Cheap, tasty food
Disadvantages: None

...time I went to a Wagamama noodle bar I was more or less forced there by a friend who said that she had a 2 for 1 meal voucher which would make it a cheaper evening for two cash strapped students. Even though she was raving about the place I was not convinced when she described it as a canteen style noodle bar...hmmm! It turned out I did not have much choice in the matter however, so we ended up meeting in Camden Town at around 7 on a Friday night. ... Read review

A healthy eat out at downtown Manchester!!
Review of Wagamama by promotions_lass

Advantages: Pleasant and fast service, plenty of dishes for vegetarians
Disadvantages: End up sitting next to people you don't know. Can be abit daunting

...my sister came across a Wagamama noodle bar within the Deansgate area of Manchester. I'll confess I had never heard of such a place until yesterday. Initially I was abit reluctant but when I discovered they had a good selection of healthy food suitable for vegetarians at affordable prices, I decided to give it a whirl. ~What is Wagamama?~ Wagamama is a network of Japanese Noodle bars. They have over 46 of these in the UK with over half existing ... Read review

A bit off putting for new customers
Review of Wagamama by sue40

Advantages: Very tasty, freshly cooked food
Disadvantages: Expensive if you eat at lunch time

...no other cutlery on offer. At Wagamama each dish is bought to the table as soon as it is cooked. While this is great for the freshness of the food, it meant that my dish was bought out, but my friend had to wait to receive her food. Wagamama encourage customers to start to eat as soon as they receive their food, but to be honest I was bought up to be polite and would never consider ‘tucking in’ while my friend looked on hungrily. Therefore my dish ... Read review

nice idea, shame about the food
Review of Wagamama by tazzywazzy

Advantages: nice place generally, clean and good for groups
Disadvantages: the food

Ahh my second favorite topic after alc-amar-ol....fodder! Was just browsing through the restaurants listed in London and noticed Wagamama, and it looks like it has been ages since anyone wrote a review on this place, so here goes... ...Recently it seems that Wagamamas are popping up everywhere, they are spreading like a bad rash, and they are nearly as many Wagamamas as there are Maccy D's or even Starf**k Coffee houses, another corporate giant ... Noodle-mania!
Review of Wagamama by avacarrdo

Advantages: Wide variety of food, friendly service
Disadvantages: Atmosphere doesn't encourage lingering

I ate at Wagamama a week ago, when some friends and I were looking for hot, decent food. Wagamama didn't disappoint! Menu: The menu is clearly laid out in categories such as noodles, soups, rice dishes and specials. The dishes come from a range of Asian countries. Ramen (Japanese noodles) are well-represented, although there are other things that have a Thai/South-East Asian influence. There is also a fairly decent wine list, and non-alcoholic ... Read review

Like a school canteen with better food
Review of Wagamama by madchen_in_uniform

Advantages: Good quality, large portions, not overpriced
Disadvantages: There can be long queues

...you do, don't arrive at Wagamama at 7.30pm with a group of ten people. You'll wait about an hour to be fed. The no-booking policy at the popular Japanese restaurant chain means that couples are usually seated quickly, but larger groups are difficult to find space for at the long, wooden benches that fill the dining area. As the evening progresses, a queue of people stretches along the stainless steel corridor just inside the exit (they've employed ... Read review

Pretty good
Review of Wagamama by Rowan

Advantages: Real Japanese food done well.
Disadvantages: Not for those who only want raw fish.

...best all feature on the Wagamama menu. It may be a bit westernised, with a few added extras I didn’t find over there, but the Yaki Soba is the closest thing to the stuff I was given out there that I have ever found in this country. I don’t like sushi or sashimi, they leave me cold. I do like the noodle dishes, the udon and the ramen. I survived perfectly well out there only eating the token piece of sushi that was given to me because ... Read review

flavoursome, healthy (ish), and cheap fast food
Review of Wagamama by juliebowles

Advantages: cheap (with regular 2 for 1 offers), lovely flavour, quick service
Disadvantages: can be noisy, uncomfortable seats, long tables

For the past few years these contemporary Japanese restaurants ahve started to pop up all over the place. For us, it is a fab alternative to other restaurants. Cheaper than the average meal out, quick and flavoursome, we have frequented our local for the past year and a half. The menu can look a tad off-putting to start with. With funny names like "yaki soba" and "amai udon" and vast ingredients the menu can leave you slightly bemused. I'm sure ... Read review

A Positive but Different Experience
Review of Wagamama by CuriousBlackCat

Advantages: Good food, great service..
Disadvantages: Food turns up in a random order.

...had my first taste of Wagamama a few days back, when I visited the Newcastle-upon-Tyne restaurant with three friends. It was about 7pm when we turned up, and it was busy! Lots of people in, but nevertheless we were seated immediately. I doubt we'd have been so lucky if we'd been in a bigger party however; a bit of a wait may have been on the cards. My first impressions of the restaurant were very positive. It is light and airy, and is kept ... Read review

Oodles of Noodles
Review of Wagamama by abigailciao

Advantages: Great atmosphere, good place for groups, nice food.
Disadvantages: Communal seating, meals do not come together, no sushi, a little overpriced.

I first went to Wagmama's about a year ago in London and have since been a number of times to two different branches of the London Wagamama's. Wagamama's is a chain restaurant that is gaining popularity and there are more opening all over the country now. Wagamama's sells Japanese food but not sushi which is a shame as this is something I love. Noodles are the most common dish. The ramen which is thin rice noodles in soup with fish, meat or vegetables ... Read review

Fast, yummy and cheap
Review of Wagamama by Ariel

Advantages: tasty and affordable
Disadvantages: can get very busy

...end of it all - Wagamama is one of my favourite places to meet up with a friend for lunch. Less good in the evenings (especially after about 7) as they tend to get very very busy, these modern styled, canteen seated Japanese restaurants get my vote. There's a good, affordable menu, including several choices for vegetarians, and a few set menus to make the selection even easier, with fresh fruit juices and several yummy side dishes to accompany your ... Quality plummets...prices hiked.
Review of Wagamama by Chocka

Advantages: Fast
Disadvantages: Poor tasteless food; Expensive

...been to a number of wagamama stores and all dropped noticeably. Not long ago, they were worth goingto. The noodle soups were good, the starters fresh, and generally excellrnt. Boy have times changed! We went to 2 in London (Covent Garden and I Cant remember the other one), and the one in Kingston. I kept thinking they would get better - no way. Great visit to Wagamama Bournemouth
Review of Wagamama by FairyTan

Advantages: Good food and pleasant staff.
Disadvantages: Needs more vegetarian options but there are some

I went to Wagamama in Bournemouth with my seven year old son for lunch. We had a great meal, there was more than we could eat. The vegetarian section is small but it was great food. My son is normally a child who gets bored while eating and eats little but he ate loads of his "mini veg ramen". We had "coconut reika" for pudding, just one bowl but the staff gave us two spoons. This was coconut ice cream with mango sauce topped with toasted coconut ... Read review

2 for 1 at some Wagamamas', check for yours!
Review of Wagamama by satyamkhurana

Advantages: Tasty food, good amount of serving
Disadvantages: wooden chairs

...looking for tasty fresh food, Wagamama is the place. My local Wagamama is nowadays doing 2 for 1 on main courses, which is quite a good offer since the main courses start from almost 9 pounds.I would have probably never bothered to go there since i am not a big fan of Thai-Japanese cusine, but the coupon did the trick. My visit was a memorable one. Not only is the food good, the service is exceptional. Since it was my first time, the waiter very ... Read review

Noodles!
Review of Wagamama by Rogerbyname

Advantages: Quick, easy, short waiting times, cheap
Disadvantages: lack of intimacy

A fast in fast out type of place. You are not encouraged to linger! Benches are provided rather than seats, thus intimacy with your fellow diners is largely impossible. As a chain they are consistent in their appearance, decor and feel, so at least you know what to expect. The food is fresh and reasonable, with plenty of choice and the price cannot be argued with. As an entree to Japanese food this is a good place to go, and surprisngly I thought, ... Read review
