It's a knockout

Advantages: taste lush,quite cheap
Disadvantages: they have a bigger bag but less crisps

...of the pack is the walkers sign and logo. This is a picture I suppose of a crisp with a red banner accross the middle and the word "Walkers" in white writing in the middle of that. The other important piece of information provided on the front is the flavour. In this case...altogether now...cheese and onion. a gift from father to son.. where's my bloody car

Advantages: absolute scrumptious
Disadvantages: they go to quick and your still left hungry

...a sec ... shh yes Walkers cheese and onion crisps . Yum yum ! <> I am absolute starving so as we speak I'm ripping through a pack of cheese and onion walkers like a knife going through butter. I remember the good old days every time I used to go down the working mens club with my granddad and old man they used to aways buy me a packet of Walkers cheese and onion and I was sat there as happy as a pig and Pooh with a huge cheesy grin ...
...there who hasn't heard of Walkers Cheese and onion where have you been and you deserve to be hung up by the curlies and have people take photos of you. I have been having these crisps ever since i was a nipper in pampers and although I can't remember the taste of them at that time as i've grown up I have noticed that you seem to get less and less in the packet and the crisps sort of lost its nice cheesy taste. I think since they have changed the ...

Cheese and onion... the perfect blend of flavours!

Advantages: great taste, one of the most popular flavours of crisps
Disadvantages: Leaves breath smells cheesy with a hint of onion.

Walkers Cheese & Onion Crisps are possibly one of the nicest flavours of crisps going although until recently I couldn’t stand to smell them let alone eat them. I’m not a great lover of onion however since I tasted cheese and onion crisps without realising it, I have not looked back. Walkers cheese and onion are available for almost every super market, post office or grocery store as they are one of the most popular flavours of crisps. They are reasonably ...
...hint of onion. With all Walkers crisps, the flavour is nice and strong down to the last crisp. The strong flavour is nice for the person eating them although it is not so nice for other around you as the crisps make your breath smell. A typical 25g bag of walkers cheese and onion crisps look quite big on the outside of the pack however once opened, the bag is only half full with crisps. The amount of crisps supplied is enough for a snack however ...

The King of all crisps.

Advantages: Tasty and satisfying.
Disadvantages: Fattening.

Walkers the king of all crisps, well in my opinion. Cheese and onion have long been a favourite of mind and have held a long term place in second place on my all time favourite crisps, behind smoky bacon, but this Christmas they have been demoted down to third place as Turkey and Paxo stuffing claimed the top spot. Enough of my top ten crisp flavours, I wonder if there is a category on CIAO for that, and back to the op in hand about cheese and onion ...
...famous red, yellow and white walkers logo in the middle of the packet taking up the top section of the bag. Underneath this is the particular flavour in white writing and below that a picture of several crisps and a logo stating that there is quality and freshness. Turning the packet over, the back is white and split into two halves. On the left hand side are three small pictures showing a brief story of how the crisps are made, there is not a great ...

Cheese & Onion delights.

Advantages: Great taste, good packet.
Disadvantages: None.

Walkers crisps are the original and one of the best in my opinion. The crisps are a good size and cut from good potatoes, it is very rare to find a bad crisp in your bag and this is great as I don't have to particularly worry about paying much attention when delving in to the bag and wolfing down a whole packet in 2 minutes flat! The crisps come in a foil bag (for freshness) with blue colouring (for cheese & onion) and the familiar Walkers logo ...
...potatoes used and information on Walkers themselves. The bag is very informative and for the purposes of reviewing I had a good old read of the changes that have been made in recent years (less fat and better oil etc) and was astounded by the sheer amount of information that they feel necessary to print. Once the packet is opened I am met with a smell of cheese & onion instantly and it's lovely and strong. The crisps are deliciously crunchy and ...

Smell My Cheesy Breath, Ewwww Thats Nasty

Advantages: Goes well with the 4th or 5th pint of Beer
Disadvantages: Really not something Id have too often, leaves your breath smelling horrible

...Andy and I’m addicted to Walkers crisps. Yep that’s right for the 4th time in about 3 weeks I’m delving into another packed of Walkers finest crisps. Only this time it isn’t really there finest. In fact it’s actually Cheese and Onion flavour and for once it’s not a flavour I’m overly keen on. I’ve already spoken about my addiction to Walkers and in particular Beef and Onion and Prawn Cocktail and so with that let me begin this bag of Cheese and Onion. ...
...Vinegar in the blue, however Walkers obviously don’t agree. The great British takeaway offer is still on and is advertised all over the front of the pack. Enough talking I’m actually rather hungry now so its time to get on with eating them. Upon opening the bag you get hit by a very strong, distinct smell, first the cheese and then a waft of Onion. It’s not an overpowering smell but it’s not exactly pleasant either. Just look at the faces of those ...

Cheesy

Advantages: Cheesy
Disadvantages: Oniony!

...million people will eat a Walkers product every day, so I can’t be wrong! And why am I reviewing this flavour? Apparently cheese and onion is the most popular. And it’s what I’m scoffing now. It’s no wonder these are so popular, the flavour is really nice. Not too strong like some cheesy crisps. The crisps are a reasonable size by my standards, and arrive in an uncrunched state thanks to some cunning gas in the bag. (Buy your crisps at the bottom ...
...the top. But look at what happens to the bag with the pressure change.) This packet claims to be keepable until 22nd March 2003. That doesn’t seem very long, it’s about five weeks away. I’m not sure how this compares to other packets of crisps, or whether I’ve been flogged an old packet. However the special foil packaging that these crisps come in is reassuring, and they never seem to taste soft at all, nice and crispy really like crisps should ...

One of my favs

Advantages: Tasty
Disadvantages: can be too strong

...many will compete with the Walkers brand. Since I love cheese and onion flavour, 1 may argue that I won't mind any cheese and onions crisps. Well I too would argue this - althogh I think there are different quality types of crisps. These crisps, people of ciao, are of very very good quality. They are also pretty strong in their flavour. The cheese and onion taste lingers for quite some time after you have eaten them. But the taste is so scrumptuos ...
...It is very odd what Walkers have deployed with this flavour. Instead of the normal green colour which is the symbol for cheese and onion, they have adopted the blue colour for their packaging. This colour is usually used for the salt and vinegar flavour. So why have Walkers decided to use blue for cheese and onion and green for salt and vinegar? The answer my friends is I don't know! Maybe it is to attract attention, or maybe it is simply to create ...

Walk On

Advantages: Tasty and Fresh
Disadvantages: Can be Unimaginative for kids

...History Bit (Sorry!) ------------------------------- Walkers are Britain's Biggest and most popular crisp Manufacuturer. They were founded as a butcher in 1912 in Leicester until 1948 when due to rationing they only had enough meat to satisfy their production until 10 o'clock in the morning and so needed something else to use their factory for. They decided upon crisps and the rest as they say is history! They now manufacture countless different ...
...But no I'm afraid that Walkers don't adhere to this which means that a generation, due to Walkers dominance in the market will grow up thinking that Salt & Vinegar should come in a green packet and Cheese & Onion in a blue - its just too much for me to take!! Anyway (sorry about that) the first big postive to be said is that these crisps come in a foil pack which supposedly keeps them nice and fresh until are tummies are ready for them (well it ...

Cribbly Crunchy Crisps.

Advantages: Very tasty
Disadvantages: Can make your breath smell

...admit I am addicted to Walkers Cheese and Onion Crisps! So it's off to the clinic for me I suppose. First of all what is it about this 34.5g pack I am currently munching through? Is it the blue packet? I have always liked the colour blue could this be an advertising ploy? Is it the fact that over the past few years Walkers have been trying to reduce the amount of saturated fat? In my pack it is 3.5 saturates - err hmm! Still a bit high but then ...
...What a sandwich! Walkers crisps can be bought in larger sizes 50g, 175g or the extra large bags of multi crisps which do tend to come smaller. I generally find the prices vary depending on which shop you go into and whether there are any special offers. Cheese and Onion crisps are my favourite but they can make the breath smell so if I am going to a meeting I will eat the plain ones as I enjoy those as well but only if they are Walkers. Cheese ...

Just keep an eye out for that Mr Lineker...

Advantages: Classic reliable taste.
Disadvantages: Not that many to a bag, not daring enough for some!

...good old Cheese and Onion Walkers Crisps. That's right, no crinkle cut, no crazy flavour, no fancy shape...just a plain old cheese and onion crisp. Earlier today I read an op on Vanilla flavoured monster munch...how vile can you get. Desserts are for after you meals and crisps are snacks during the day - they are not, and should not be, one of the same thing!!!! (having said that curiosity is getting the better of me and I will have to try them ...
...is simple and uses the Walkers branding well in the centre of the packet. The flavour is clearly marked below and only a quality stamp regarding freshness is needed to finish off a product that clearly markets itself. These days the shiny cheese and onion 'blue' packet is made from a special foil protective packaging to keep the crisps even fresher. The bags come in various sizes but this one is 28g. When opening the bag I got a nice cheesy smell ...

Walkers Cheese & Onion Crisps

Advantages: Tasty
Disadvantages: Addictive

I'm currently going through an addiction to these crisps, mainly because once I have one packet I need to have another and then possibly another. The extent of this addiction became apparent when I went through a 26 pack in around 5 or 6 days. -Flavour- I think the flavour on these crisps is quite strong and the taste does hover around in your mouth until you eat somethin else. I think it's this reasonably strong taste that means I can't just have ...
...it's a nice mix of them both - the way it should be. -Crisp Texture- I find that you can either get two kinds of packets of these crisps. One where the crisps are virtually perfect and the other when they are slightly see-throughy, like theres too much oil in them. Either way they are delicious. -Other- As with everything these days there seems to be less and less in each packet. The bag is about half full (or empty) at the begining and only takes ...

OH BUT I WISH...

Advantages: they taste good.
Disadvantages: not available enough for me.

...circumstance, we would not have Walkers Crisps today. So how do they compare with other crisps for texture and taste ? I have tried many different types of crisps and texture wise, I would say that these are sharp and crispy, much crispier than the other types that I have tried, which is why I stick with them. As for taste, given a comparison with other crisps, I feel that these are true to the taste they are supposed to be, i.e. Cheese and onion. ...
...Packaging : Easily recognisable Walkers wrapping for fresh sealed in flavour. and how much do you get in a packet : 34.5 grams. Single serve. 55g packs for a munchier experience. 175g packs for parties. or sufficient to make you want a little more than you get in the single helping packs. I seem to remember crisp packets that had more in them than these, or perhaps it was just me getting bigger that made the packs look smaller. Walkers have ...

Fear & Loathing In The Spar

Advantages: Cheese and Onion
Disadvantages: controversial blue bag

...flavours of crisp. These Walkers Cheese and Onion crisps come in a controversial blue bag; this is not something I APPROVE OFF……. The bag should be GREEN which is the traditional colour for this flavour. This is an unnecessary tampering of tradition and is even more annoying as green is one of my top ten favourite colours. So this lunch time I went to the Spar to stock up on potato related snacks for an afternoons wasting time at work. The problem ...
...you the temptation is to get as many crisps as possible, I decided to go for the Big eat bag which is 45p for 50g of crisps. This is exactly 0.9 pence per gram. I then scurry bag to my office to consume them in private, I do not approve of sharing crisps especially cheese and onion ones, apparently these have 30% less saturated fat than in 2003, hopefully they have not been around that long. As I open the bag and stuff my nose into it a strong smell ...
