“She called me the Fire Eater because of it.” Hanif Kureshi, The Buddha of Suburbia It never ends, and I’m sure my body is going to start rejecting all other forms of food as my tendency towards eating potato based snacks grows. I hear that carrots are addictive, and I start to wonder whether the same can be said of potatoes. Once I read a story in some ghastly tabloid (they were all ghastly in my student days, now they’re just 5h1t) that a boy only ever ate potatoes and derivatives – mash, chips, etc. Paranoia creeps in as I start to think that I may end up the same way. Let’s hope to old ... more

Advantages Advantages Quality crisps that really are hot and do taste of chilli!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Full of fat - stick in your teeth.

Walkers Sensations - Sweet Thai Chilli Flavour On a Saturday night we sit down as a family and watch a feature film, Dr. Who or the X-Factor depending on the time of year. As a treat we like to have some crisps that are a bit different than usual and these crisps from Walkers are our crisps of choice. They are currently on offer at Tesco, so now is a good time to give them a try. ~~~What are they like?~~~ Well for a start they have changed their packaging and now come in a black bag, which I think is a better image for hot spicy crisps and hot these certainly are!! There is a picture of a red ... more

Advantages Advantages They taste lovely until you eat too many and then...

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too hot for me! ;oP

Those of you who read my Lamb & Mint Sensations op will remember I said I wouldn't rest until I tried the Thai Sweet Chilli flavour. Well, I can rest again as I've now got a bag sitting in front of me just begging to be eaten. :o) I only discovered the joys of Sweet Chilli sauce recently and have got to say I love the tangy but sweet flavours of it. But for this very reason, the flavour of these crisps seems strange - will this kind of flavour work in crisp form? I was pleasantly surprised with the Lamb and Mint Sensations so I'm hoping Walkers have excelled themselves yet again. oOoOo THE BAG ... more

Advantages Advantages taste very good, can be bought from many shops..

Disadvantages Disadvantages not exactly the sweet chilli that gives all the sweet taste

From a long time ago, I put myself on a mission of tasting every crisp flavour that was out there. Yes, of course it came to a point were I had to try these walkers Thai sweet chilli sensations. I was not really keen in trying them as I did not like the word chilli, it only reminded me of how hot and irritating it is when it hits my tongue. Of course I had to be brave, after my moments of hesitation I took my first bite. I won't waste your time in telling you how I felt, but yes I loved them they tasted great and very crunchy. From that day forwards I've always bought the sensations every time ... more

    Advantages Advantages great spicy snack

    Disadvantages Disadvantages full of calories

I do enjoy munching snacks while making a review but during the weekend, We as a family also enjoy our time together watching tele or DVD with our favourite crips. One of our favourite crips is the "Sensations Thai Sweet Chili" from Walkers. Sensations Thai Sweet Chili is a spicy layered with sultry sweet crips. Blended with herbs and spices to culminate an intense and uplifting flavour. The thicker cut, quality Lady Rosetta and Saturna potatoes ( I'm not familiar with these kinds of potatoes but it sounds great ) are infused with real ingredients to pack a powerful and passionate punch ... more

After trying the four cheese and red onion flavour and not really liking them too much I was very skeptical about trying any more flavours but finally gave in and bought a bag of Thai sweet chilli flavour. This flavour is so much better than the other one, I am actually getting addicted to these, which is not good!! Walkers sensations also come in three other flavours which are; Sea salt and cracked black pepper flavour Oven roasted chicken and thyme flavour Sea salt and malt vinegar As I have said the four cheese and red onion flavour one I was not impressed at all with but I might have found ... more

    Advantages Advantages amazing taste

Disadvantages Disadvantages lots of calories, expensive

I'm always a bit wary of these 'grown up' crisps. It seems to me that crisps are made for children, and you can't beat a bag of salt and vinegar Square crisps or a big greasy bag of Wotsits. But today I'm suffering from a very severe hangover and I'm having to spend the day studying (and studying obviously requires snacks). I'm too scared to venture out to the shop for a supply of bacon Frazzles and Space Raiders in case I'm spotted by someone from work (I phoned in sick this morning...) so I had to resort to checking the cupboards. And so that's the story of how I came to be sitting here in ... more

When I was a child we always had crisps in the house. Usually these crisp were either Tayto or Golden Wonder. These were bog-standard everyday crisps. However every so often we would get posh crisps. And by posh crisps I mean crisps from Marks and Spencer’s. I knew they were posh because they came in a fancy packet that is to say one that wasn’t garish and didn’t have cartoon characters on it. Of course when I was little there didn’t seem to be any such thing as “hand-cooked” crisps unless you counted Kettle Chips which we never had in the house. But now it seems virtually every supermarket/ ... more

A devilishly deceptive bag which fails to warn you and me, the unsuspective consumer, of the deadly addictive crunchiness which is hidden beneath. An over reaction I hear you shout, "They’re only crisps!" But alas.... If only they were! These are none other than Walkers Thai sweet chilli crisps! Not a crisp to be flippant about! Hidden beneath the low profile packaging lies a revolutionary break through in taste sensations! The ultra crunchy tongue tinglingly spiciness will burst out and take your breath away. Advantages Advantages Large 150g pack

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Having to share

Walkers Sensations - Thai Sweet Chilli. When the sensation crisps first came out you could not drag me away from the sea salt and cracked black pepper, but I admit that I ate so many packets I no longer have any craving for them. Unfortunately someone introduced me to Thai Sweet Chilli and the cycle of overindulgence has started again. The packets come in two sizes, normal crisp packet size and the large 150g bag. You can not miss them, the packets are posh white with a central panel telling you the brand name (Walkers Sensations), a picture of a basket of scrubbed potatoes (I’ve never seen ... more
