Advantages: Interesting concept Disadvantages: Poor execution, hard to control, poor sound
Warhammer 40,000 Squad Commander is a military game for the Nintendo DS. You fight against other armies by moving your troops and fighting, working through the various missions in the game. The game is turn based and I found the game play easy to pick up and start playing the game. In essence the point of the game is to move your armies a certain number of positions, then make fighting decisions about what to do with those armies, and then you let ... ...controlled by action points, which you can either use to move or fight. Graphics wise, I wasn't impressed with the game. The second screen of the Nintendo DS should have been a positive feature for this game, but it is in my view wasted with a different to comprehend map feature. Advantages: Great level design, Adequate sounds Disadvantages: Poor Graphic, controls and difficulty of levels
...as £6-£19 in some places Warhammer 40k SC DS does not have much more value to it than that price in my opinion as I will tell you further.
The game places you in a turn based battling system with you placed as the right person to command units to invade various locations.
However the developer Redlynx having made a lackluster PSP game of the same name has managed to make the DS version even worse.
One of the issues this game suffers from is boring ... ...to an absolute minimum along with the lack of crisp graphics.
The graphics in this DS version are so terrible that I would take you a lot of time trying to figure out what you need to do and what your units actually look like.
The only positive I could take away from the game was the detail and well designed levels that are present in the game as the sounds and explosions match correctly almost in unison.
Lastly I personally would not recommend ...
