Wii going downhill already

Advantages: Gets you used to the Wii controller
Disadvantages: Designed for kids I think

My recent review on the Wii console gave it much praise which I still feel was well justified. The games we had at Christmas were all very good playable and lots of fun, so our anticipation to playing the latest addition to the collection would have been understandable. Wario Ware is like nothing you have played before, it is basically lots of little games and teasers rolled into one. These are all geared up to improve your technique in the use ...

The opening scene of the game gives you a few options to choose between each with a selection of small games and puzzles hidden behind their respective icon. The icon form a small village and each time you complete the tasks hidden behind an icon a new icon is added to the village thus giving new and harder games to play. Clicking on the icon using your Wii control as a remote ...

Warioware, Wierd but Wonderful

Advantages: 200+ crazy minigames, pickup and play fun.
Disadvantages: Single player a little short, multiplayer has to be unlocked.

Introduction Recently I bought a Nintendo Wii, I was looking for something a bit different as while I have a number of friends who are happy to play a long session on the PS2 or Xbox360. It can get a little antisocial and I was interested to see what the Wii had to offer. To this end when shopping for the console I was on the lookout for games for parties, games that were for multiple players and something a bit different. Wario Ware seemed to ...
...revolves around 200 'micro games', each one of which takes only 5 or so seconds to complete. The games are embedded into short Japanese (Nintendo) type cartoons that, in single player, simply bracket the time when you play the games. Each section has about 15 games within it which you must complete before you get to a boss game. If this is completed then you are rewarded by moving onto the next story. The games themselves revolve around holding the ...

WarioWare plays it Smooth

Advantages: Mindless Fun, sometimes charming
Disadvantages: Short, sometimes childish

Wario’s wacky microgames managed to create themselves a decent franchise since first appearing on the GameBoy Advance 4 years ago. Today, “Smooth Moves” looks to continue the craze by maximizing the ways of bizarrely interacting with your console and introducing frenetic multiplayer action. ***The Story*** In the inaugural WarioWare, Wario had a brilliant get-rich-quick scheme: He would take advantage of the videogame market by creating countless ...
...and selling them as full products to the unsuspecting public. As a member of the R&D, you were given the opportunity to tackle all of them, making for extreme fun as you tried to figure out what silly thing you were supposed to do next, within 5 seconds. It might not be much, but it was a rather clever effort to pack all those inexplicable microgames inside one single adventure, with some semblance of a storyline. On the other hand, “Smooth Moves” ...

The most RANDOM game available for the wii?

Advantages: very fun and random
Disadvantages: won't appeal to those who like an actual storyline

Quite simply put, Wario Ware is a game full of entirely random and fast paced minigames. Really. I could stop the review right here if I wanted to, because that's pretty much the most accurate description of the game you will ever read. Of course, that would be an incredibly boring review, so I'll carry on. Wario Ware is an amusing and strange game which is hilariously fun to play (and perhaps even more fun to watch other people play). To play ...
...watch a short clip relating to the character who's house it is, and then complete an average of 12 mini games. Following which you have to defeat a boss, and then you're on to the next house. If you are looking for a deep involving story, Wario Ware is not the game for you. There really is no real story to the game aside from Wario finding a mysterious temple. Even the storyline clips for each persons house do not really qualify as a storyline, as ...

Wario's Mad Party Now On Wii

Advantages: Laugh out loud funny, Great party game
Disadvantages: Very short Single Player, Multiplayer not unlocked untill Single Player completed

If like me, you're not a Rayman fan, then there is now an alternative to the French limbness pillock. If you're after a Party Game, then Wario Ware Smooth Moves is where it's at! Smooth Moves is a collection of over 100 mad 5 second minigames. One minute you'll be catching a fish Animal Crossing style, the next you'll be sharpening a pencil. Then you might be doing the hula, swiflty follwed by placing a Grandma's teeth in her mouth! There is only ...
...player mode you'll be completing roughly 15 minigames and a Boss Stage for each character, before unlocking more characters and different ways of holding the ''Form Baton'' (Wiimote). This is where the game comes into it's own. Before each minigame, a little reminder will pop up onscreen telling you how to hold the Wiimote for that minigame (sadly, this does take out a bit of that bit of speed that Wario Ware is renowned for, but it is definitely ...

Its a Wii! Wario!

Advantages: Wacky fun! Great to play with friends.
Disadvantages: Very , Very Short.

This game is very odd. It is a series of mini games that each last about 5 seconds. after 14 mini games a hard "boss stage" appears and if you pass it you unlock a new level. The levels are set out like a map, with a new location appearing every time you beat the previous one. There are a host of wacky characters (Most of whom will be recognised by anybody who has played the WarioWare series previously) The single player part of the game is ...
...additional challenges like playing all of the mini games so that they all appear in the "temple" on the map (a place where you can go to practice the games) and collecting the "lets pose" cards that you get after each boss stage (just a picture of somebody posing with a wiimote) By the second day of me having this day i had unlocked every mini game and every place on the map and completed every level including the four elephant buildings (each has ...

Smooth Moves indeed, just not so many of them.

Advantages: Great at a Party; Wacky and embarrasing!
Disadvantages: If you havn't played it before, you're done for

~~~The Brief~~~ Wario Ware: Smooth Moves is the newest game in the Wario Ware series for Nintendo Wii, if you aren't familiar with the series, the games have always been about having fun at the cost of massive embarresment. Its a great principle in my oppinion, but some say its for kids. I bought Smooth Moves not knowing what to expect, like a few games on the Wii, Smooth Moves has had mixed reviews. Even I am not sure if I was impressed with it! ...
...into this review lets make sure you know what a little about smooth moves. Smooth Moves is a game composed of hundreds of very short (less than 3 seconds in general) mini games. It's fast paced action, with the occasional breather. Mini games are performed using different "forms" with the "form batton", or in English, posing while holding the Wiimote. As you progress through Single Player mode you learn the forms, which are general the same as their ...
Smooth Moves Review
Advantages: Addictive multiplayer, makes innovative use of the Wiimote
Disadvantages: Boring single player, needs more minigames, on occasions bad motion detection
Let's face it - this game was built for the Wii, and it is Nintendo's opportunity to show off the versatility of the Wiimote with this game. That's exactly what this game is - it makes use of the Wiimote in every conceivable way. If you are unfamiliar with the WarioWare games, the premise is very simple - a series of fifteen or so mini games blasted at you in quick succession. The mini games range from unlock this door to answer that telephone. ...
...as little of your four lives, and this is achieved by successful completion of a mini game. The different ways of using the Wiimote are known as forms. There are several different forms in this game ranging from the sane 'remote control' to the far less sane 'the Mohawk'. As you can imagine the different forms require you hold the Wiimote in a different way. For example the Mohawk form requires you to hold the Wiimote over your head like a Mohawk. ...
WarioWare: Smooth Moves. Mental yet enjoyable
Advantages: different, fun, random, enjoyable
Disadvantages: not a lot of depth
Firstly, if there was a box for random weirdness then this game would definitely score max points. That said the playability and enjoyment do benefit as a result of the general insanity of this product. At the outset of the game the instructions are to make sure the "form baton" (wiimote) is secure and also to ensure there is nothing close that you may break in your gesturing. What stayed with me however was the instruction to leave your inhibitions ...
...you picking noses and clipping toenails one minute and grating mobilephones 5 seconds later! In essence this is a minigame collection in which you play as one of your 'mii's' and complete stages which consist of around 10-15 minigames in quick succession while holding the wiimote in various 'forms' that range from the self explanatory "remote control" to the "big cheese" where you hold your hands on your hips and stick out your chest like a CEO apparantly. ...
Do you have Smooth Moves?
Advantages: Variable, doesnt get boring, funny, good way to learn your way around the Wii-mote
Disadvantages: Low graphics
I don't keep games for long but I really enjoy this and wouldn't dream of selling! This is a very comical and funny game. The game is quite simple (in a good way) with low graphics, very variable games, randomness and all round fun. There are approx 200 party games that last about 3-5 seconds each and are randomly thrown at you one after the next. The Wii remote is placed in a different position for each game, consisting of crazy ways such as; ...
...of your head like a mohican, "The Elephant" - where you place the remote at the end of your nose like a trunk, "The Tug of War" - you hold the remote like you would a piece of rope in a Tug of War. The main menu consists of many fun levels for you to unlock and conquer, some of which are harder than others. Each level has approx 10-15 of the short party games for you to quickly run through, positioning the remote how it instructs you to before each ...
Wario got me addicted
Advantages: exciting, fast, addictive and fun
Disadvantages: gets you really addictive
I bought this game when I purchased my Wii, June of this year. At first it was fun and I was enjoying myself, then I got addicted to playing it everyday and sometimes I couldn't stop it was such a fun game. My kids started thinking I was insane, I even forgot to pick them up from school once because I was addicted to the game, it was funny. A few weeks later I calmed it down a bit because I got bored. then my husband and kids started getting addicted, ...
...a brilliant game, with superb qualities and extremely addictive. At the start Wario is walking and spots a temple containing a Wii remote. You have to chose one of the residents from the map, and then a small introduction animation plays. the animations are fabulous and sometimes funny. The funky and wonderful characters is what gives the game its cartoon like atmosphere. The introduction scenes give the game a fun vibe. In the game you play about ...
Smooth Game
Advantages: See Review
Disadvantages: See Review
I've always liked Wario Ware so when it came out on the Wii I knew I had to try it. I was certainly not disappointed! The mini-games use the Wii remote very well and plenty of micro-games! At the beginning of each game, there is an introduction and after that introduction is when the Micro-games start. There are hundreds of different micro-games which only last a few seconds. The micro-games are given to you in a random order so you don't know ...
...and fun. Micro-games normally tell you to do a very simple action such as moving a maze so a ball can get through a hole in it. You only have a few seconds to complete what the micro-game is telling you to do. If you fail a micro-game you lose a life, and when you lose all your lives the game you are playing stops. At first the time given to complete a micro-game is nice and easy but the more micro-games you complete the less time you have to complete ...
Wario ware smooth moves
Advantages: Group playing is amazing
Disadvantages: Some moves can be unresponsive
This is a great game to play with others. Its made up of lots of different levels that teach you different movements with your wii remote ( and then eventually your nunchuck). The explanation for each move is straight forward and very easy to follow as well as being pretty funny in a comic relaxed voice. Some moves can be a little unresponsive but you will soon adjust and find a way to do it. At the start of each level there is a small story line. ...
...the first time you do the level you cant skip it. You will unlock a feature to watch the stoylines again if you want to, though i cant imagine you would. This game is much better if you get stuck in and do the movements exactly how your suposed to ( eg. actually crouching instead of moving the remote up and down) this makes it harder but improves the entertainment value. Each level has a boss level at the end , unfortunately some repeat from previous ...
Crazy, yet delightful fun!
Advantages: Great collectoin of challenging mini-games
Disadvantages: The graphics are not exactly top-notch
Upon buying this game, I thought that I'm really taking a chance, expecting a kids game, but noooo! It was great fun! It's one of those really crazy, weird and wonderful games full of random little minigames. This game makes real good use of the motion controls. From jumping up and down, shaking your booty, popping corks, and so many other different delightful things to do. And the best thing is, so many people can play together. You will just laugh ...
Smooth Moves
Advantages: Great at getting a group involved with harmless random fun.
Disadvantages: Quite limited and easy to complete.
One of the most fun and yet randomist games I have ever played! It seems to be designed for kids but when playing with friends it can be very enjoyable. There are numerous screens where you are taught to use the wii remote in different positions to perform strange actions on screen. (such as plucking peoples nose hairs or pumping up baloons) You are encouraged to take on these actions which makes you look quite silly in front of your friends. ...
...later on in the game as the actions get more difficult and the different screens speed up. Children however, would not get bored as quickly as adults (unless there is alcohol around) as the game is quite limited in the number of levels offered. The graphics are as expected for a game of this calibre, the sound effects are fun and energetic to match with the game type. Levels are unlocked when certain parts of the map are cleared and I believe that ...
