Helps you to get more out of the internet

AdvantagesClear and easy to read, good for internet novices, lack of advertising

DisadvantagesNot the most stimulating of reads, probably not for internet experts, personally I find celebrity sections boring

"I had read reviews about Web User on Ciao and other websites in the past and thought it sounded like it might be worth a look. On one particular day when I had to get a train out of London I decided to buy a copy because I did not want to read heavy subject matter and also just wanted a change. I don?t normally read a great deal of computer/internet magazines, but I thought I might learn something useful and find out about interesting new websites ..." Read review

Web User, Simply The Best Internet Mag Around

AdvantagesClear Descriptions, Easy To Read ,Very Informative

DisadvantagesNo cover CD.

"Web User is one of the most useful magazines I have read. It is full of hints tips and general advice on internet usage, web sits and a wide rang of software that are are all talked about. What the Haynes car manual is for the amateur car tinkerer Web user is for the web tinkerer. What is inside the magazine? When you open the cover there is an editorial explaining what is in this weeks magazine. Underneath this is a contents list starting ..." Read review

Web Sites erolaG

AdvantagesLots of infromation.

DisadvantagesNone.

"...readers can publicise their own web site. The rest of the magazine is about all things “web” and you don’t need me to describe the contents. Do like I did and buy a copy for a look see but don’t pick up ComputerActive by mistake. ..." Read review

For all web users

Advantages-

Disadvantages-

"...on how to build a web page, it explores ISP’s, even explains what ‘History’ means and helps you organise your favourites and other folders and generally get the most out of your computer. I did find the page on uploading and downloading files very helpful. I love the Readers and Hints pages..why because ordinary people write in with some simple or complicated problems and they are given advice. The good thing is that they are ..." Read review

For anyone that uses the Web

AdvantagesPlain english explanations, good for the novice

DisadvantagesAfter a few issues, you might outgrow it

"...(then 7, then 8!) of Web User. Its actually very good, I have only been online for a few months and there are still a few gaps in my cyber wisdom, and I learned a LOT of useful tips in this mag. If you are a novice/competant but unsure PC and Internet user, then this mag caters well to you without patronising or overcomplicating issues. Its very well written, easy to referance and the website that is affiliated with it - www.web-user.co.uk is also ..." Read review

Webba webba webba

AdvantagesEasy to read

DisadvantagesNone

"...reading for the likes of Web User. Web User speaks to you in English and is pretty easy to read. It costs you 99p (but I think that is a temporary price). So what is it? What is think distinguisher of nightmares, this exorcist of PC demons? Well, it is just over eighty pages of information. There is a great news section, a page showing all the best new websites, information about shopping on the net, and online games. There is also ..." Read review

The web in plain English

AdvantagesGreat magazine, Great price!

Disadvantagesstill none

"Web user is a new magazine, and as the name might suggest it deals with Internet issues. The first few issues were on sale at just 99 pence, though the normal price will be £1.20. The magazine is glossy, clear and informative. In the second issue (also 99p) the magazine covered such things as: how to get on the net for £80 (bush TV). Shopping sites out to the test (excellent article). How to make: your email faster and smarter, and heaps more. ..." Read review

A Webtastic Mag

AdvantagesUp-to-date, Relatively good price, offers good advice.

DisadvantagesNone.

"...is the fortnightly issues of Web User, which claims to be the ‘UK’s best-selling internet magazine’ with 67,250 readers (ABC statistics for Jan-Dec 2002). So, for me what is it that makes Web User the best of the lot? Web User offers practical and concise advice, features and reviews. It has received recognition from the ‘Plain English Campaign’. At a competitive price of just 99p Web User features links to over 170 websites in each issue, plus ..." Read review

For all net-heads everywhere

AdvantagesEverything you need to know about the 'net

DisadvantagesNone

"I have been buying Webuser ever since the very first issue and on the whole it is a very good Internet magazine. There are quite a few computer/Internet magazines around and some are pretty costly. I used to buy a particular one most months as there was a free CD-rom attached but this pushed the p[rice up by a couple of pounds. Webuser doesn't give away free CD-roms and therefore they can sell it at a very reasonable 99p every fortnight. Every ..." Read review

The best and simplist web magazine around

AdvantagesCheap, easy to understand and well presented. It is written in plain english, so avoids complicated jargon and does not confuse you. It can appeal to a range of people, from the beginner to the expert.

DisadvantagesIt's too long to wait between issues. Could do with coming out weekly.

"Webuser is the best web magazine I have ever read. I have avoided buying computer or web magazines due to the high prices and the way you must be able to translate or understand the most complicated computer talk. I think that the trial price of 99p is great and really attracted me to buy it. Other magazines cost about £4.99, which I feel is far too much to be bombarded with adverts. Webuser keeps the adverts to a minumum and there is a section at ..." Read review

Advantagesgreat price, great coverage of internet topics

Disadvantagescan't think of any,,, apart from if they wanted to give it out free

"...There reviews of best web sites a good with a star rating system and top sites getting gold silver or bronze handy if you don't want to read all the reviews. There's an excellent feature on festivals on this summer and how you can be involved online. If you plan to buy a car this summer look up the second-hand car item and learn how the net can save you money ( well we hope ) Even "nasty" Stuart out of Big Brother gets his say in Chat room. "Web User is a new fortnightly magazine aimed at helping beginners and intermediate users make the most of their time on the internet. It's well planned layout and informative style makes it easy to read, and find what you are looking for. At last I can understand what is written

Advantagesvery easy to read and understand

Disadvantagesworry that the price might rise too much

"I have now purchased three editions of this excellent magazine and I can honestly say that I enjoyed reading and browsing through each one. I can say that I have tried practically every type of PC and Internet magazine on the market and this one is one of the best if not the best. It deals with every one of its subjects in a easy to read and understand way. The different sections are well defined and I particularly like the method of rating ..." Read review

Webuser - no excuses now

AdvantagesOnly 99p A wide variety of web links of interest

DisadvantagesFortnightly - great once a week?

"...a competition, Classified ads and web user directory, Letters, Outbox, and news about the next magazine. I only wish the magazine came out each week - across the month you would still be paying less than some of the larger advert filled computer magazines. I purchase Computeractive and Webuser each month and find many new things about my PC and what you can find on the internet. They also run a website for latest news and links www.web-user.co.uk Suitable ..."
