Advantages Advantages you can eat whatever you like, good website to help you keep track

Disadvantages Disadvantages no actual contact with people

I have always been overweight. Ever since I was a young (I can’t say little) girl, when I was a foot taller than all my friends, and at least twice the size, I’ve always not quite felt right in myself. I don’t know why, but I suspect genes have some sort of role to play – all the women on my mum’s side of the family have all been very large, usually with varying degrees of illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension and eventually bad heart attacks. While this has always been worrying to me, I never really let it concern me too much. I tried a few diets when I was younger – I lost 2 stone on the ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to follow and effective dietary plans. No food is forbidden!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Possibly the cost of meetings, although to me this is an good thing

Once upon a time, about ten years ago, I was in the shape of my life. At sixteen, I was 11 stone, national javelin champion, and Newbury Athletics Club Champion in ten different track and field events. Then, sixth form began and the athletics stopped - the fitness dropped, and the pounds increased. By the end of sixth form, I nearly resembled Britain's number 1 shot putter - I had gained roughly five stone. When I went to University, two stones of that weight dropped, and I maintained 15 stone throughout my three years. I then gained that two stones back, followed by another 2 stone as of the ... more

Advantages Advantages Lots of local meetings, supportive leaders who have lost weight themselves through weight watchers..

Disadvantages Disadvantages Got to have credit or debit card to access monthly pass.

I'm not proud to say that I am overweight; however at the end of 2007 I decided to do something about it. I looked into several weight loss groups in my area and spoke to others attending these groups, it seemed people had the most success in losing weight with weight watchers, so I decided to join! I found my local weight watchers meeting by visiting the weight watchers website. It was very simple, all I had to do was enter my postcode and a list of the local meetings came up, there was also the times and days of the listing as well as a map and driving directions. The one thing I think could ... more

My name is David and I have a weight problem. Unlike most people, my problem is not with being overweight, but having a fast metabolism which means I struggle to put on weight. So, what am I doing reviewing Weight Watchers? Well my partner is currently on the Weight Watchers diet, along with my mother and with a little help from them, here is my review. SO WHAT IS WEIGHT WATCHERS? Weight Watchers is a calorie controlled diet where the dieter counts points for everything that is consumed. When you first join Weight Watchers you are given a blue folder which gives recipe ideas, and an easy to ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cost for member apart from free website section, Website can seem overwhelming,

I am reviewing weightwatchers.co.uk as I have a good few years of experience of this website! Unfortunately for me as wouldn't it be great to never have to go on a diet! Anytime I have to lose a few pounds, I know where to turn, my computer! Not the healthiest choice you would think, but weightwatchers.co.uk has everything you need to change your outlook on food and become healthier! I am now a member again for the third time, hoping to lose my baby weight from my second baby born Aug 2011. Now three times isn't bad going, as the 1st time was turning 18 (drinking and eating junk) 2nd time baby ... more

Advantages Advantages Losing weight is easy and you don't have to give up your favourite foods, great support offered, lots of local meetings during the day and eveing

Disadvantages Disadvantages Weekly fee can make it an expensive way to lose weight

At the beginning of the year I was prescribed Xenical to help me lose weight, it did work but was very slow and the side effects were very nasty so I wasn’t disappointed when my GP temporarily took me off them when I went down with a nasty illness in the Summer. However, whilst the side effects had gone there was still a downside – having stopped the tablets all the weight I had lost, and more, suddenly started to pile back on. Initially I ignored it but when all the new clothes I had bought got to the point of being too tight I decided I had to do something positive but something that didn’t ... more

I have been overweight for several years now and my nurse is really nagging me to lose weight before I become diabetic, or (My weight is between me and my nurse!). I logged on to the website to find out some information on have a heart attack, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, this time I am determined to succeed so I decided to join Weightwatchers. The thing that has put me off this in the past is that I have no time to go to classes and I hate being weighed by other people. classes but was enticed by the fact that I could do it online. It costs £29.95 to register, which seems a lot, then it costs £9 ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to do - you can eat the foods condemned by most diets

Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite expensive, some diets are free

I decided that I'd join weight watchers about 4 weeks ago and I have decided to write a review now and updated it every month so you can all follow my progress. I've also decided to include diet journal entries so that hopefully you'll be even more entertained. First things first - signing on I decided that I was going to complete weight watchers the online way. I didn't fancy going to the meetings and always love fiddling on the internet so I thought I'd give it a go. I spent several days umming and erming about whether it was worth the £49.99 for 3 months and I'm glad now that I went for it ... more

    Advantages Advantages lose weight!

Disadvantages Disadvantages losing weight is never easy!

Last year i started this diet names Weight Watchers. I started off at 11 stone and my desired weight was 10 stone. Being under 16, i had to get a written letter signed from my doctor to give permission for me to attend meetings to get weighed and to see if the diet would effect me in any way. After getting a letter from my doctor, i was on the road to a slim and healthy body. I do belive i can do it its just all to do with the determination in the actual dieting. It is an easy diet but ofcourse you have to cut down on the crap you eat, eg. Chocolate. It wasn't easy i have to admit! Being at ... more

There are already a plethora of reviews of Weight Watchers, so I'll try to keep this one brief and personal. My review refers to the online version of the diet. I joined Weight Watchers [henceforth referred to as 'WW'] several months ago following an unexpected weight gain which took me into the 'unhealthy' BMI range. I'd heard good things about WW from others, but didn't have the time or money for classes. Fortunately, the diet is available online from the weightwatchers site, so I signed up there. I stuck with it for about four months, then gave up, for reasons which I will explain below ... more
