    Advantages Advantages Not a lot

    Author Wendy Holden was born in Yorkshire and then after discovering her love for Literature moved on to read English at Cambridge. She met her husband at Cambridge and her first job was working on an arts magazine called Apollo. Her second job saw her move through the ranks from editorial assistant of a foreign diplomat’s magazine to Editor. She then moved from there to a number of publications eventually ending up as deputy editor for the Sunday Times Style Section. She was actually writing a weekly column penned by Tara Palmer-Tomkinson. Their partnership ended up being Wendy’s inspiration ... more

    Advantages Advantages A complete distraction from real life

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite nonsensical!

    This book is such a different type of book to the one I last read. The last one that I read was one by Susan Lewis - if you have read Susan Lewis books you will know that they are very intense books. This book is the complete opposite to that. It's nonsensical and a complete distraction from day to day life. This book starts off in Britain, where Polly (an archaeologist) is working on a dig. She meets Max, who she finds that she gets on well with, but Max is not telling her the truth about his life. Max meanwhile has problems with his parents and has to leave for a while to go and sort them ... more
