To my way of thinking one of the best views I have ever come across was in the Damuls in Austria - Our hotel was situated over 7,000 ft above sea level and, believe it or not, we could and did climb even higher. We were in the Damuls for Christmas and had a wonderful time watching the skiers at the very top of the mountain. We also had very clear blue skies and thick, thick snow which added to the sense of being at the top of the world.
