I Am No Longer A Scrubber

Advantageseasy to use, loads of features

Disadvantagesnone

"...not looked back since. The Philips Whirlpool Dishwasher has become one of the most relied upon and useful appliances in my house, never mind the kitchen. The price I paid for this dishwasher (£350) was way above its usual selling price (£199) as I purchased it from an unscrupulous 'we give credit to those with no/bad credit history' stores that I won't bother naming - to do so would give them free advertising they simply don't deserve! To ..." Read review

Now I really do have soft hands

AdvantagesFeatures that you actually use

DisadvantagesA tad on the expensive side

"...an astronomical £600, or the Whirlpool ADP972 at slightly less astronomical £500. The salesman said he could reduce the Whirlpool one by £50 as it was last years model, I looked at Hubby with puppy dog eyes, ‘pleeeeasssse’ I whinged, he just stared back at me blankly. My mind whirled, blackmail, I needed blackmail. ‘Couldn’t you have a slightly cheaper one?’ he pleaded, I had my ammo. ‘Well I said that about YOUR ..." Read review

DISHWASHER THAT ONLY WASHES SOMETIMES

AdvantagesDependable

DisadvantagesDoesn't get dishes and cutlery sparkling

"I've now had a Phillips Whirlpool for some 3/4 years and whilst it hasn't broken down (touch wood) I'm afraid it doesn't get my dishes as sparkling clean as I would like. My model cost in the region of £600. I wasn't on the internet when I purchased it and I must admit I was amazed at the savings that could be made purchasing electrical equipment in this way. Perhaps I was spoiled by my last dishwasher, a Zanussi slimline which unfortunately ..." Read review

AdvantagesCheap and straight forward to operate

DisadvantagesEasy to switch on by little people (kids!!)

"'But Mum I don't want a dishwasher, what use would that be with a new baby in the house?' Yes you've guessed it.....Mum knows best. Thank You Mum!! Why a dishwasher? New baby!! Not a lot of time for washing dishes when you have bottles and steralising added to the daily chores! Later it would prove invaluable when I returned to full-time work. Why this particular model? ADP9520 (Emotions range) It was good value for money 18 months ago, ..." Read review

No more washing up

AdvantagesWell priced, efficient, quiet

DisadvantagesNone

"I bought my Philips Whirlpool Dishwasher just in time for Christmas. I was fed up with all that washing up by hand and with a total of 25 people for Cristmas Dinner I decided to take the plunge and get one. It cost me £350 from a local electrical store and included fitting not that it took long as all the pipes and things were already plumbed into the kitchen so it was really just a job of connecting it all up. The machine itself has three wash ..." Read review

Dishpan hands? Not in this house!

AdvantagesQuiet, Ease of use, Brilliant results

DisadvantagesNone so far

"...shops, we plumped for a Whirlpool ADP2652. It had come down to a choice of the Whirlpool, an AEG, a Bosch and a Zanussi. The Whirlpool felt the best built, and had the best features and most flexible interior. I like the design too, although some people may not like it so much. It also had the best review in Which? magazine. Programmes and Features - Prerinse - Rapid 30 (30 mins/30degrees C) - Eco 50 (long programme, 50deg C) - ..." Read review

Would not like to be without one now!

AdvantagesSaves time and gets them cleaner

DisadvantagesNone

"I used to think it was a status symbol having a dishwasher but I was recommended by several friends on the many benefits. When I moved house I found there was room to have one installed so it was one of my first buys and I'm not disappointed. It has various programs from a pre-rinse through economy to hotter settings. I mainly use economy but a hotter wash when there are oven dishes. I'm a big tea drinker so I used to bleach my mugs to get rid of ..." Read review

"...very good. I bought the Whirlpool Dishwasher for £300 it was originally £400 but I got it in the sales. I have to say that I am so glad that I bought it, it’s easy to use and setting up and getting the hang of it was no problem. The dishes more importantly are cleaned and there’s no more arguing who’s washing up turn it is. It rinses the pans cleans, has a cycle for heavy solids and the third cycle washes the dishes. It ..." Top of the range model for mid-range money

AdvantagesFeatures, efficiency, quietness

DisadvantagesNeed a facia panel as well

"...an integrated dishwasher is a Whirlpool ADG957. This is the model at the top of their range and the list price is £620. http://www.trade-appliances.co.uk/ are selling it for £339 including delivery. On top of this, you need to add a front facia panel to match the rest of your kitchen. The cheapest integrated dishwasher that I could find was for £276 (from www.southern-domestic.co.uk) but this model has a few extra features. Its fully integrated ..." Read review
