Advantages: Does the job, economical Disadvantages: A bit noisy on spin
I purchased my Whirlpool shortly before Xmas 2007 as a replacement for my old machine which had decided to give up on me at the worst possible time of year. Having now had it for almost four months, here is my opinion so far.
Decision to buy
============
The reason for going for this model was primarily cost driven. Being close to Christmas I wanted a brand that I had heard of, but at the same time getting away with paying as little as possible. ... ...in the button. With my Whirlpool this is automatically done for me so I know my machine is always running as economically as possible. I would assume that this is why the machine was given an official "A+" rating for energy.
Negative points
============
There are only two negative points that I have come across so far. The first of which is the noise level when the machine is enters the final spin stage. Whilst the noise is not over excessive, ...

Advantages: Washes clean no matter how smelly or soiled Disadvantages: None
...Whirlpool. We bought the Whirlpool for 220GBP cheap compared to 379GBP for the load of old Bosch.
The Whirlpool is A rated energy efficient but here's the secret it does get water. Whirlpool has washed food stains, soiling (some quite heavy from sons DIY), cat odours from his blankets and everything comes out fresh and clean. I have owned this machine for nearly a year and half, and have never had a problem. The synthetics wash is excellent,, 30 ... ...wash cleans. The only disadvantage is that a larger family would need the 6kg so size does count.
I recommend this machine to a couple or small family with a limited budget.
P.S. There are plenty of 2nd hand Boschs for sale but very few Whirlpools. My neighbour has had one for some years and has never had a problem. ...

RUBBISH
We owned this machine for just over 13 months when the clean pump light came on.
Pump filter cleaned and re fitted,light still on.
Phone Whirlpool who say £80.00 to come out then parts and labour on top.
Control panel required at a cost of £119.99 plus fitting.
We only paid £209 for the machine so it isn't worth fixing.
I will never buy this cheap junk again and would not recomend this product or the companies poor customer service.
STAY AWAY ...
