Advantages: Cleanest bowls ever Disadvantages: Costs a packet and now they won't eat anything else!
...is not a review of Whiskas products in general, but specifically of 'Oh so fishy' pouches.
With two geriatric, fussy cats sometimes buying a food that they enjoy can be a bit of a problem and in the summer their left over food becomes smelly and attracts flies - not pleasant to come home to at all. You can imagine my delight at finding a food that they enjoy so much that within seconds there is not a trace of it left in their bowls.

Your cat will notice the difference straight away. It'sso deeply delicious your cat will polish off every last morsel and then ask for more.
Absolutely true - I don't know what addictive substance they put in this food but every mouthful gets demolished in record time and there are definite loud meows for more every time.....

...her Whiskas, at that time Whiskas were the only ones to offer special tinned cat food for kittens, I tried her with Iams dried food but it made her sick, so Whiskas it was then.
Clever advertising along with help and advice from Nutritionists and Veterinary Surgeon’s has helped Whiskas remain the success they are today.
They have kept up to date with the needs and wants of all kinds of cats, from the tiny kitten to the more mature cats, no ... ...visit.
All cans of Whiskas cat food now come with a pull back aluminium lid which is great as it saves you using the same tin opener, the same tin opener that some would maybe use to open their own tins of soup etc, probably not too hygienic, I’ve always tended to keep the cats stuff well away from us humans food products as I am too very fussy if you know what I mean.
The supermeat variety looks awful when you open it up, very pale in comparison ...

Whiskas is made by pedigree who have developed their food range with the vets from the Waltham.
Whiskas is probably the most famous brand of cat food and most of us know their advertising tagline of 'eight out of ten cats prefers Whiskas'. Well for a long time my own two cats were the dissenters as they were wholly unimpressed with the usual Whiskas tinned variety though that has changed so read on!

...but his favourite was definitely whiskas in jelly. He would not eat the one in gravy at all.
The tin.
It is a standard cat food tin with a whiskas label showing the name and a cat pictureand the . On the back it has all the feeding instructions and nutritional values. The tin size is 390g. I buy a 12 pack for my now two cats.
On Opening.
When you open the tin the meat is nice to look at and smells quite nice. Judging by my cats reaction and the ... ...of a single tin of whiskas starts from 59p to 75p depending on where you buy. I buy a 12 pack of mixed in jelly at Asda and these cost me £5.98 although they are widely available at all supermarkets and local food shops. There is also a 6 pack at a cost of £2.98 at Asda.
I consider this to be good value because my cats don't waste any.

Whiskas now includes new 'Lifecare'. Woohoo I hear you say, what the hell is that? Thats what I thought but luckily the pussy had the answer. Well, their marketing department did anyway.

THE FOOD:
Whiskas is the best selling brand of catfood, possibly due to the massive advertising campaigns it has had in the past combined with its excellent quality, a quality which has yet to be surpassed at an affordable price (in my ... ...at least on of the Whiskas flavours fairly easily and those that don't will take to 4 or 5 flavours. It's good stuff, in Jelly or Gravy you can be sure you get what you pay for, more meat than anything else with just enough Jelly or Gravy to make your cat want it. Now it also includes new LIFECARE (see the heading lifecare to read more into this) so its even better for your cat. THE PRICE:

I started using Whiskas (®/TM Whiskas, Trademark of Mars, Incorporated and its affiliates) ,approx 6 months after acquiring a re-homed 3 yr old Persian. I was told very little about her diet expect that she was a fussy eater and only ever ate dry cat food. She began to loose lots of weight and I decided to try her on some tempting tinned cat food. After trying many "premium" brands in luxury little packets, I almost gave up as she would not eat any ... ...when she began to eat Whiskas she eagerly got stuck in and gained much weight again. I wanted to make sure I was giving her all her dietary needs so looked up the Whiskas website.
I found to my delight that it had a membership page and a newsletter section. Also it offer lots of free advice and information and has advantages for becoming a member. I found advice on ever aspect of caring for and feeding my cat.

my name is Maggie Gaude and i had a terrible experience when i bought a 6pk of cat whiskas, lm disabled and when i took the plastic off the tins i ghasped at the foul smell and then saw loads of maggots in the rotting food were the tin had broken, i had to wait a few days till my carer could take me back to the shop were i was treated like a child and given my money back, it didnt matter that i had to come from St Just in Penzance to return the item ...
Advantages: All of it gets eaten--no waste. Disadvantages: Sometimes a bit pricey.

Whiskas Cat food is great. Just ask our cat. Indeed, just ask any cat! Any human who says: "Cat's can't tell the difference between cheap and expensive brands of catfood really does not have any understanding of cats and of feeding cats whatsoever.
Take our cat. She knows exactly what she wants. One particular type of catfood she wants and likes is Whiskas cat food. But only the fish flavours and then, especially, the Whiskas in Jelly types of catfood.
... ...currently enjoying is Whiskas with salmon in jelly. Sometimes she looks at tinned catfood and you can see she is thinking: "Oh, not THAT agsin?!"
But there is never any of that with Whiskas! She eat every plate of Whiskas right down to the last drop of jelly and of food. Now, you see, that is very important. ...quality, and by this measure Whiskas isn’t too bad. So you can’t refuse it all the time, or they may start substituting inferior tinned food rather than the fresh food which is every cat’s proper due.
My own policy with Whiskas is to acknowledge its acceptability by eating it two times out of three, but to turn my nose up on the third occasion, letting the offending offering go stale on the saucer while I mewl wide-eyed for something ... ...was a problem with that particular tin, or that particular flavour or variety. In these respects, you have to ring the changes too. I always reject the tuna and usually the other fish flavours (in my opinion Felix or even Choosy is better for fish). Often, although not always, I reject the “in gravy”, favouring the “in jelly” or “supermeat”. In these two versions, most of the meat flavours are tolerable. I used ...
