Advantages: Its Dean Koontz! what more? Disadvantages: Not really his usual style, but not unusal.

It seems that Mr. Frye has been stalking Ms. Thomas in the belief that Ms. Thomas is his dead mother, Katherine, who has come back from the dead in order to kill him. He must kill her, before she kills him. Of course, Hilary has no idea why Frye has singled her out. She is only aware his murderous intent, and she is very afraid. The good guys are a couple who are brought together by the first murder and who then have to struggle throught thier own issues to stay together to stop the killer, but the plot takes an unexpected twist when the killer himself dies and then continues to stalk the leading lady even after death. Is he really dead or has he come back to finish his business? Noone beleives her when she goes to the cops except of course for ...
