Advantages: Good if you Don't work and think about where parcel will be delivered. Disadvantages: Cannot give a time or day (but that is what service is agreed with company you ordered from)
Lets Start at the Beginning
The Initial Customer orders goods from a Company or (client)
Reality is a delivery service which provides a service delivering products on behalf of alot of different companys (clients)
Therefore Reality is a third party and will only be held liable by the client and in turn the client is held liable by the customer. So the sytem is Customer Orders Goods--->
Telephone call/e-mail etc from Client to confirm order --->
... ...Parcel gets scanned in sorting office ---->
Parcel arrives at depot --->
Reality then has a certain amount of time to make the first delivery (service level) as follows:
Home Shopping (catalogues): 3- 5 working days
Argos: 2 working days
all other companys 3-5 working days depending on what the client has agreed ----------->
A Card is left at address which client has given Reality if cust is not present ( or in the shower/gardening/on the toilet/has ...

I placed my order with Argos on 6th December and am still waiting for the delivery - of course these would happen to be Christmas presents and we are now on the 22nd December.
After the 1st attempted delivery they left me a card so I rang them and after about 20 minutes speking to an incoherent individual I manged to agree with them that they would leave the parcel with one of my neighbours (I gave them a choice of 4). the following day I returned ... ...had not delivered, they actually refused to leave it with my next door neighbour. I rang them again after this timne spending about 40 minutes on the phone and being told I was not able to speak a coherent person or a supervisor as she was "taking a break" they said the notes on the file said to leave with a neighbour - which of course they didnt do again.
They have actually done this 5 times, I asked if they could deliver to my work address and ...

I recently placed an order with Yes661 who unfortunately use Reality/White Arrow couriers.
There was a card left through my letterbox from Reality stating that they could not leave the parcel because a signature was required, although I was'nt told this when I placed the order. I rang them and explained that I am not available in the mornings but if they could not give me a delivery time the Parcel could be left in my garage. I was informed that ... ...with a neighbour or deliver it to my place of work then basically I would not get it!
I explained that I work in a local Hospital so I could not have it delivered there, I have only just moved to this area so I dont know that many people yet, the house on one side of my property is empty and on the other side they are out at work all day. It is a very big road with approx 120 detached houses, the only time you see anyone is probably on a Sunday, ...

I was previously employed by Reality (WAE) for about 9 years spending about 4 years as a spare driver it was tough going to diffrent areas every day especialy the countryside where you had some poor addresses. After about 4 years a round came up and had been offered to sevral drivers and turned down then was offered to me after some consideration i decided to take it thinking it was better than been spare goin the same areas day in and out i would ... ...basic round and was delivering quite well rarely taking any parcels back . Then they changed the system my round was gone i was back to spare this in turn made me ill and left me with clinical depression not in a sane frame of mind i resighned i could not face going into work i never got called in for discussion nothing i was only there about 9 years perhaps i was expecting to much.
Anyway i still suffer from depresion and take medication for it ...

...also to be delivered by white arrow I thought oh god but then I thought to myself such a big item they cant mess it up but don’t worry they were up to they’re same trick said it would come Thursday but it turned up Monday, I fortunately wasn’t at home only my partner and daughter, so as far as they were concerned it could have been a single mother they were delivering to they decided that when they got to my flat they couldnt get them in so would ... ...my flat i might add, so my partner had to ring me at work to move them which took me just a matter of minutes "on my own", but the point is would they really expect a woman on her own with a child to move two sofas.
Al i can say is how tha hell do they stay in business and Argos you are as much a bunch of idiots for using them. ...

...have got to say that white arrow/ reality must be the worst courier on the plant, i had recently ordered books from BFC (books for children) It took several weeks for the books to arrive, when they did finally turn up they were left with a neighbour but no card was left to let me know they had been delivered or where they were !
The worst was yet to come... a few weeks later i had a parcel that was to be returned, i was told they had arranged for ... ...get through to anyone from white arrow/ reality and had started to receive bills for the parcel they had supposed to be collecting, they claimed white arrow had called to collect the parcel twice but there was no answer and that a card had been left both times (lies !!)
6 months on i am still waiting on my parcel to be collected !! It would have been a lot less hassle to collect any parcels myself !! ...

...on the following Monday but White Arrow attempted to deliver on the Friday before but nobody was in because of the promised Monday delivery. White Arrow assured that they would still deliver as arranged on the Monday. After a 10 hour wait - no delivery. Round and round in circles on the phone to the 2 companies is a story too long to tell. Both companies blame each other and the packages eventually arrive. Please do not let any of the 2 companies ...

...have confirmed the address but white arrow only have one line of the address. Back at the call centre, the manager who was abrupt and annoyed about being interrupted from her coffee said that it was not her fault etc but wouldn't let me speak to the depot to arrange collecting the parcel myself. Apparently customers are not allowed to speak to that department. They will try to deliver again today and if not they will ring me to let me know they haven't ...

Back to bol.com to double-check my address which of course is correct (after all it's not the first time I had ordered from them). BTW, I don't live on a farm at the end of a lane 5 miles out of town. My house is in a suburb of Cardiff and can easily be found by anybody who possesses an AZ. 4 weeks after placing ...

An absolute disaster of a delivery service with no element of 'express' whatsoever. It has now been close to 4 weeks that my husband, a freelance worker therefore dependent upon the freedom to leave the house at any given time, has had to stay in day after day and be told the same rehearsed lies. Most customers seem to forget that reality have been chosen by the mail order company’s to deliver the parcels they use them because they are a free delivery service (that is why they can not specify day or time). most of the mail order company’s will tell the customer what they want to hear cos they want to make that sale they will say it will come on a specific day and time, then leave it to reality to sort out.
Then the customer gets all irate ... ...rubbish, the customer come up with rubbish like I work 24/7 I cant stay home waiting for a driver, no I don’t have a neighbour or safe place or alternative address and will still expect the parcel to magically appear. If you’re not at home Monday to Friday from 8am till 7pm and have no where the parcel can be left why you all still do mail order shopping.
The customer also forgets that it is a call centre you go through to when you ring the number ...

...but in comparrison to Reality White Arrow, they are masters in their field. Come back Royal mail/Parcelforce, all is forgiven!
Day 1 (tuesday)- Missed delivery. Card left. Rang number on card who told me they could not give day or time for redlivery, but that it would be within 3 days. Asked for alternate delivery address to be used, told they do not offer this service. Best suggestion they had was "to get a neighbour to wait in". Asked if I could ... ...me (not on a mobile though) and it would take two days for them to do so.
Day 2 (wednesday)- 2nd Missed delivery (2nd card left). Rang to ask why when the depot was suppossed to be ringing me. Denied any knowledge of previous call, told me they had not treied to deliver that day. Refused to accept I had the card (could not fax them a copy as they said "we do not have a fax"). Requested to collect from depot, told 2 days, etc, etc.
