Advantages: Talks openly about her hard childhood, might help someone with similar experiences. Disadvantages: Comes across as rather shallow in places. A lot of name-dropping.
...experiences which have made her who she is today. She has been treated badly by the press and so-called former ‘friends’ and I completely understand that she wanted to tell her side of the coin.
There are 19 chapters in this book. The first 4 chapters deal with Martines childhood, and the awful treatment of herself and her mother, by Martines biological father. I found these chapters to be quite hard to read in places. It is distressing ...

Advantages: Light reading, inspirational stories of success Disadvantages: None
...talks about her first love, who she was engaged too. Unfortunately after they split up due to pressure of her job (Eastenders) he betrayed her to the media. Martine presents herself as a shy individual, who got into boys quite late on, and she also rarely drank a great deal. She found this betrayal very difficult to deal with, and went through a period of depression as a result.
She landed her part in Eastenders in 1995, and the book describes ...

...the time (even from strangers who I bumped into in pubs) was "Tiff". Because of this, I took notice of what she was up to and became a fan that way.
When I heard that she'd written her biography (with the help of Matthew Wright), although biographies have never particularly interested me before, I knew I wanted to read it. I also thought that I'd know quite a lot of stuff that was in it already - I was wrong.
This book lists absolutely everything ...

Advantages: good reading Disadvantages: none
While clearing some stuff out recently, I came accross this book. I first read it a number of years ago whne it was first realeased and decided to have another read.
I don't know why I originally decided to read this book, as I am not particularly a huge fan of Martine McCutcheon, but I am glad I did.
Admittidly she is quite young to write an autobiography, so you would think that she doesn't really have much experience on lif or her career ...

A SUPERB READ Review ofWho Does She Think She Is? - Martine McCutcheonby
Emma_Perry01
Advantages: Helps with yoour problems. Lets you get to know Martines life story. Gives you hope. Disadvantages: A bit long and boring in some places.
I asked for this book for one of my christmas presents because Martine had said she wanted to help people that are going through what she went through.
In "Who Does She Think She Is" Martine is totally honest about some of the most terrible things her and her family went through before she was famous. Their are a few chapters on her real dad that made me cry. At one point he hung her over the edge of a balcony and in another it sed she could hear ...
