...I happened to buy the Wilkinson Sword Intuiton. Saw it on TV and in Cosmo, and thought I'd give it a go, especially when I saw it was half-price in Superdrug. Why not eh?
My previous fave was the Wilkinson Sword Lady Protector, so I already trusted the brand and surely this could only be better!

The blade pivots in the middle, supposedly to follow your body contours. The razor comes in a plastic holder which can be suctioned onto the bathroom wall to hold the little beast, which I've actually found quite handy. Each replacement blade comes with its own lid which acts as a razor cap - very useful if you're like me and always losing lids and caps for things! ...

...ladies Intuition Plus razor from Wilkinson Sword.
I opened the parcel and had a good look at the razor. My first impression was that it was rather bulky and a very odd shape. The packaging was plastic and transparent around the razor and an Aqua cardboard around the rest. The front of the packaging has the wording Wilkinson Swords and Intuition Plus in large letters. Just underneath the name there a smaller box telling you that it was the sensitive ... ...bit longer but in all I would recommend this product to all my friends and family.

Advantages: Easy to use, Quick, Relatively Close Shave! Disadvantages: Soap runs down quickly, Hair sticks to soap and in blades, Price
I am a member of a site called bzzagent and had been given this product to trial which is how I came to try the item and thus have this opinion of the product to share with you all.
I bought a house with my fiancé 2 and half years ago, and had come from living in a flat that had a bath, but no shower which I was dying to have. The house we bought only has a wet room (so just a shower, no bath) as the previous owner had an elderly husband that couldn't ... ...had the bath removed and the wet room put in.
This is fine usually, even though I do miss my baths and being able to use Lush bath bombs etc, but I do find I have a problem when shaving my legs as I only have a limited amount of space, and have to do a balancing act on one leg whilst shaving the other, and twisting and turning trying to get around the backs of the legs. It causes great discomfort due to having to stand on one leg for such a long ...

Advantages: Convenient Disadvantages: Poor value for money, poor design
When the Intuition razor launched in the UK last year, I felt no desire to try it, because I was really happy with my Venus razor. However, lots of people seemed to give it great reviews, and when I saw it being sold (in Boots) really cheaply a while ago, I couldn't resist giving it a try.
Intuition is different from all other razors. The idea is that you don't need to use a separate shaving gel with it, as the blade has a built-in 'skin conditioning ... ...when wet, as it melts and lathers on wet skin, allowing the triple blade razor to glide along your skin with ease, and give a close shave, while soothing the skin.
The razor itself is quite bulky, compared to other razors, although it is lightweight. The handle has rubber grips on it; however I find that these aren't very effective when my hands are wet, as I often find myself losing grip on the razor. I have to stick a finger in the hole near the ...

Advantages: Ergonomic design, smooth legs - IT WORKS!! Disadvantages: Expensive, conditioning block makes it hard to shave sometimes
...here we have it. The Wilkinson Sword Intuition.
The first time I used it the results were amazing, and they've been consistant. My legs feel really smooth each time and I'm amazed by the lack of irritation I get from using this razor. I've cut myself two, maybe three times in all the time I've had it (which has to be over a year).
So there has to be a snag somewhere - right? Well, it's true to say that both the razor and the replacement blades ... ...about £6.29, though for that you do get 2 blades, a shower hanger and a cap for travel.
A six-pack of replacement blades will set you back £11.99, while you'll have to spend about £6.25 for a pack of three. I find that I can make a blade last for about two to three weeks but the conditioning block will get used up fairly quickly. You probably have to replace them more often than with an ordinary razor just because the conditioning block wears out ...

...so I picked up the Wilkinson Intuition Razor and went to the till.
If I had known that I was going to purchase a new brand of razor today then I would of checked some of the reviews of the item but as I am me it was a random purchase that I didn't think about anything other than the cost.

Advantages: Skin conditioning block is great Disadvantages: razor isn't
After reading such great reviews on this product, I decided it was about time I tried this out. I have always used mens razors when shaving as I usually find this gives a much closer shave and with less mishaps! I also must confess that when using my trusty Mach 3 that I rarely use any sort of foam or gel. I am very sensitive and have in the past been admitted to jospital with UTI infections after using soaps that I am not used to. Extreme I know, ... ...Infact the only thing that I have been able to use (on my bikini line) is the E45 junior range shower mousse!! LOL!
I therefore was slightly concerned about the "skin conditioning Solid" that comes with the razor. However I thought that I would give it a go and try it in the shower first. I normally shave in the bath to avoid all the messing around, trying not to slip !! So off I went on the search for this product. This was not easy! I first tried ...

Advantages: Convenient Disadvantages: Cost, Takes some getting used to
I'm in two minds about this razor so this review may swing one way and then the next; I apologise in advance.
Ok, I only tried this because someone gave me a free one. That's usually enough to convince me... If i'd had to buy it, nothing on earth would have persuaded me to spend the utterly extortionate amount of money that one of these costs. So first things first: It's your basic razor, with replacable blades, it just happens to have a built in ... ...and makes it an all in one razor.
The packaging is virtually impossible to open. Not just of the razor, but the extra blades as well. Not only that but the blades come in three layers of packaging - a little wasteful I think. A plastic package, shrink wrapped in a cardboard box. Why?
When you finally get the razor out, it's pretty disappointing. It's insubstantial and flimsy feeling. And as for the shape... As usual it also comes with one of those ...

I bought the intuition razor for two reasons, one because of the hype, and two because it was half price so I thought at least if its crap I’ve not wasted too much money………….. I think it WAS a waste of money! I’m sitting here with little bits of tissue paper stuck to my legs to control the bleeding from the razor cuts, and this is the second time I’ve used the damn thing as I thought I had better give it a fair hearing before condemning it on ciao. ... ...so here goes.
The product
-------------------
The product itself is essentially an excellent idea it covers the three aspects of shaving, a razor, shaving gel and moisturising. The triple blade razor is surrounded by a skin conditioning solid, which lathers up when you are shaving and acts as your shaving foam. The skin conditioning solid contains aloe Vera, cocoa butter and vitamin E therefore acting as your post shaving moisturiser also. The ...

...me to today's subject, the Wilkinson Sword Intuition, and what a marvellous subject it is too.
Despite spending far too long as a dishevelled backpacker a girl has to have some standards and hairy legs just won't do!
I'm a sucker for any sort of gadget, so when a friend of mine pointed me towards this odd looking device my radar was working overtime…

*The Packaging and Price*
The packaging was rather over zealous in my opinion, but isn’t it always? Too much plastic surrounded by yet more plastic. Despite this, it was very easy to open – no fiddling about with scissors here, just pull in the appropriate places and the perforated plastic comes apart in no time – now why can’t they all think of this?
In the standard start up pack I bought you have your Intuition razor with ...

Advantages: a good, close shave Disadvantages: expensive, too much plastic
The packaging on this product contained far too much plastic and was quite difficult to get into, not a good start. The item also came with a plastic holder, with a rubber suction cup which supposedly sticks to your bathroom wall, but it certainly didn't stick to mine. So the plastic packaging and the plastic wall mounter went straight into the bin (not recyclable!) The item also had a large plastic lid, I suppose this would be useful if you were ... ...than rounded it would stand on the edge of the bath and take up less space, unfortunately it was not designed that way. Now the actual product - this felt really huge, consisting of an overly large plastic razor with twin blades, topped with a moisturizing soap block containing aloe and vitamin E (the soap is fragrance free and hypo allergenic).
Surprisingly, this worked really well, the razor glides easily and gives an effortless close shave. It's ...

...is the razor (with the Wilkinson sword triple blade) and the shaving ‘skin conditioning solid’. The solid looks like soap – it is creamy white in colour and hard to the tough, when mixed with water it produces a creamy light lather – this is the magic part.
The formulation in the solid is really nice – it is extremely soft and ‘slippery’ which helps the razor glide over you legs. It contains aloe – which is great for soothing damaged skin and shea ... ...solid its special properties.
How does it work?
The blades sits inside the solid block, slight sunken down into the block. The block is supported by a spring mechanism. When you press the razor down onto your leg, the solid moves down exposing the blade. As you move the razor along your leg the water mixes with the solid to give the conditioning light lather and the razor shaves your leg.

The starter pack comes with a hook so you ...

Advantages: Nice smooth legs with no soap/gel/foam Disadvantages: Cuts and deeper cuts
I was attracted to this on a recent trip to boots. The razor was half price £3.20 give or take a few pence. It came with two blades which made it cheaper then buying a pack of £3 blades on it's own (£6 - £7 for 3) so seemed good value for trying it out. Instructions - keep skin and razor wet when in use. Sounds simple enough ...
Firstly I was impressed on how easy it was to put the blade on. I also liked the stand it came with - it had a little ... ...place to hold one spare head. I did find I kept knocking it off the stand when I showered to had to move it further up the wall, which has done the trick. Handling - Wasn't very impressed with this. The grips for holding it arn't as good as many of the other main razors out there, and it seemes to get more slippery then the others to handle with the soap over it - I dropped it a few times when I've been using it and I've never had this problem with ...

Advantages: Idiot-proof! Disadvantages: A bit bulky and poor rinse-through
...here goes.
Basically, the Wilkinson Sword Intuition is the world's first idiot-proof ladies razor (quick, someone design one for the chaps! ;-)) ). The triple blade is surrounded by a soluble shaving lubricant, looking a bit like those solid deodorant sticks, which makes the razor glide over your skin. When the lubricant disappears, it's time to replace the blade. Simple!
In the interest of a true comparison, I decided to do one half of myself ... ...shaving oil. The results are at the end of the review. Honestly, the things I put myself through in the interest of fairness...
The first thing I noticed about the Intuition was it's size. After using my trusty Venus for ages, boy, did this feel bulky. It took almost half a leg before I was used to the different "handling", and most of the rest before I was truly comfortable with the way it fitted into my hand. Once I was, however, it was apparent ...

The sun was out and it was hot. I thought I'll put my crop trousers on and frighten the neighbours with my legs.
Not a good idea considering I hadn't had a shave for a good few days.
