Wilkinsons (Shop)

Just 2 minutes walk from where I live is a brilliant shop which sells all sorts of things and at a price which I do not mind paying. I go there very frequently. I love it. The prices they charge are good and the quality of their own products never fails me. What is this shop? Wilkinsons, a general hardware shop. What does this shop sell? There is so much there. I regularly buy Baby milk 70p cheaper than Sainsburys. Plastic bags packs of 50 for school ...
...get one free. The types of products sold include cleaning products both own brands, which are very cheap, and big names. Bleach, floor cleaners, bathroom cleaners, kitchen cleaners, and air fresheners unfortunately they do not provide the person to use these things. Wilkinsons are a mixed blessing, in short. They are a high street shop, selling all kinds of everything, some of it good, some of it rubbish. Their stock is somewhat unpredictable, so while they will appeal to the hardened bargin hunter, anyone who needs something specific, fast, may not do so well. A brief overview of things I've seen them stock: babycare products, toiletries, kitchenware, sweets, clothes, bed linnen, stationary, garden furniture, ...
...be fair to say that Wilkinsons are cheap. They do sell known brands, so you can pick up a real bargin, for example their Johnsons baby wipes are significantly cheaper than anyone elses, as are their folders and pads of writing paper. I've only ever used one Wilkinsons store in my life, so I'm afraid that I'll only be able to tell you with my experiences in that particular one, which is situated in Basildon Town centre. ...keep the customer happy at Wilkinsons stores. This, however, is through no fault of the customer. Wilkinsons is a very disorganised store, it seems that it is not only the customers who cannot find products they have come into buy but as an employee i find it difficlt to find certain "smaller" products for them. ...worth checking out the price in Wilkinsons first. I bought a pack of 20 cup hooks. They cost me 50p. These hooks were on sale for 8p each in our market! A roll of waterproof tape cost 99p (£1.99 elsewhere). If you want to save money look here before buying. ...

When I first went into a wilkinson store about 2 years ago I thought it was going to be full of cheap junk, however to my surprise as I walked through the door I was greeted by a friendly member of staff and a toiletries section with very good prices, I carried on round the store, I was actually after some windscreen washer for the car but I couldn't find it so I went to the help desk and asked where abouts it was kept and the girl on there got another ...
...to save me time. Ever since that day I have found it a pleasure to shop at wilkinson. There prices are always lower than my local supermarket, the staff are much friendlier and always happy to advise or simply take you to a product. To tell you the truth, I'd never even looked through the window of a Wilkinsons shop, nevermind walked through the doors!!! Well, today I did, and what a surprise I had. ...other things from the amazing Wilkinsons including a large fish tank for £4.99, ornaments, hundreds of pounds worth of toiletries, stationary for school, bedding for my newly decorated bedroom, toys, presents, sweets, cans (only 37p) and I could go on. I really do reccomend this shop to all those bargain hunters, and people looking for stationary for their kids, peole wanting toiletries, teenagers wanting make-up and men wanting tools! ...for many things and if you buy something that is faulty they will give you an instant refund. For instance, just the other day I bought some glue, which was leaking. I took to the customer services desk and they replaced it for another more expensive one (there was none of the kind I originally bought left). Well, thats all i say... ...major D.I.Y outlets. I think Wilkinsons have found a hole in the market by offering cheaper solutions that 9 times out of 10 give the same results as the dearer counterparts. This is an ideal store for those of us who’s budgets won’t allow us the luxuries of the major players. I do however still have the need to go to B&Q, Homebase and the such likes for items that Wilko’s don’t stock or do stock but look a bit dodgy, but it’s nice to have that choice. ...
