Advantages: looks lovely and no added sugar Disadvantages: A few pennies more than a lot of dog food
Winalot Roasts is quite new on the market.
When we have a family roast I always do extra of everything for my dog and he loves it so seeing the word "Roast" caught my eye.
Recently I have learnt that dog food can be a bit like food for humans and can have a lot of extras such as vitamins and sugars in them which is not always suitable for your dog.
I found this out when we had a baby in the home and didnt want a hyper active or barking dog! I ... ...this) had sugar added.
Winalot by Purina is one brand that does not have sugar mentioned so I presumed, and rightly so, that Winalot Roasts wouldnt either.
I buy my dog the 1200g tins which cost between £1.30 and £1.45 which yes it is more expensive than some but he loves it and it seems more meaty than others.
The big tins have beef in gravy, chicken, and lamb. They contain

...do. She simply devoured the Winalot when we put it in her bowl - she just loved it! You can really tell when a dog enjoys their food and she ate it just like she would eat proper home cooked food, and that's the kind of tinned products you want to feed your dog.
My dog, Macey, prefers the fish flavour and Winalot Digestion + do a 'Tuna' tin and a 'Cod & Plaice' tin. She does eat the others too but having fed her fishfingers every morning as a puppy ... ...awful smell of the food. Winalot is much lighter in colour and not so covered in 'gloopy' gravy. It is more of a jelly but not nasty like some you find in dog foods. The Winalot Digestion + also contains Chicory which increases the amount of friendly bacteria in your dog's stomach by up to ten times (if you feed this on a regular basis).
I have absolutely no complaints about this food - and neither does Macey. Never has she turned up her nose at ...

Advantages: Good value, Dogs enjoy it Disadvantages: Not Pedigree Chum
...In all honesty they prefer Winalot canned food above anything else.
Being Whippets they will and do eat almost anything.Basically put it in front of them and they will eat it.Having said that it is noticable that when trying them with lower quality food or even Pedigree chum, they first of all give me the knowing stare that tells me that they know, before going on to eat every piece.
I think the reason they prefer Winalot is that it comes in jelly ... ...find money off vouchers for Winalot products totalling £1.35.These coupons are readily accepted at both stores bringing the price down to something like 20.5p per can.Packs were still in store today.

Advantages: The Dog of Doom doesn't bark at it. It seems to be a healthy food to feed the animal. Disadvantages: There are cheaper dog foods out there.
...So, wheel on New Winalot Digestion plus. This food does the trick. It is made largely up of meat (and meat derivatives) and fish (and fish derivatives) as well as veggies (I’m not quite sure what the difference is between meat and meat derivatives). However, the supposed magic with this food is that it encourages the “friendly” Bifido bacteria and these little critters swarm around and help your dog digest the food. The can also suggests that this ...

...never been ill from eating Winalot and gobbles it down with great relish.
It looks good too and doesn't smell vile, like many brands do. We usually buy a larger tin for 78p from Asda, as this is then mixed with dry dog food to feed her twice a day.

Winalot however is a really good looking dogfood, it even smells more appetising, and is now available even in cod and plaice or tuna varietys.
the chunks are solid and meaty and not in one huge lump.
I also buy the winalot mixer to add to this dog food.

My dog's don't like the cheap food, no they insist on having Cesar , it smells like the stuff that comes out the other end of the dog but they don't seem to mind this much , even if i do , it also give them wind much to my embarassment when friend and family visit.
There absolute favourite at the moment seems to be the turkey and goose, but as mentioned above we have to sleep with the windows open at night, because of the discusing aroma.

...pet stores and decided on Winalot for small dogs. She does not like the ones with jelly in and she does like vegetables so I bought Winalot's Small Dog varieties, which have meat and selected vegetables in it and she loves it. It is the middle-of-the-road dog food as far as price goes. She doesn't have it alone, she likes it mixed with either small dog mixer or pasta or rice.
