First impressions I cannot say that I have used many wing nuts recently. They are useful for when a nut is required for attaching to a bolt, though the wings on the nut allow you to tighten and loosen them easily by hand. So in my opinion wing nuts are amazing value for money, they are quicker to do by hand than normal nuts. I use them a lot at work.
