My daughter is now 8 months old and was bought this playgym for christmas. At first I thought it was a waste of money because she was far too small for it when she first got it. It says suitable from birth but my baby was just too flimsy to sit in the ring and if she just lay in the centre of the mat she couldn't really see the hanging toys. I used this play gym form when my baby was about 4 month until he was about 8 months. which is a very short period of time concidering it cost £40. The advantages includ that it is stimulating for the baby to look aty and it also improves eye to han co-ordination and play skills. i also liked that fact that when my little boy was just about learning to sit up on his own he didnt like to be led on his back and using this play gym i could sit him ... Advantages: Helps babies to learn to sit up by themselves
Disadvantages: Not very bright

I liked the inflatable ring which helps the babies to learn how too sit up without hurting themselves whilst being able to develope their senses of touch and sight. The arch also helps with hand eye co-ordination. The only real disadvantage is that there are much brighter ones available which are more apealling to babies. ...other versions of this, but winnie the poo rocks, ASSEMBLY! Its not that hard to assemble and unassemble. its a bit like a tent, 8 half poles click to make 4 and then you slide them through and click them in. a wee bit fidly, take u 5 mins. one wee problem. i strongly recomend u buy a pump for the ring.
