Advantages Advantages Keeps skin fresh all day..

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be a little pricey

'Witch' is a brand of facial skincare products that uses witch hazel as an aid to soothing and preventing break outs.. Which can be found in Superdrug, Boots and the majority of cosmetic stores and supermarkets. It is a varied price product, with offers that vary from shop to shop, throughout the month the majority of stores have an offer on these products. As in the reality having to spend over five pound on even a stick to help treat spots is a little expensive for a tight budget. So as we all do.. Take advantage of the offers in store.. I got my products on a two of £4.99 offer in ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cleans, exfoliates

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not for daily use on sensitive skin

Being female and a little fickle when it comes to beauty products I'm always finding myself trying something different, sucked in by advertising hype or promises on the packaging, my bathroom cabinet overflows with different half used tubes and tubs of products promising to make me more beautiful one way or another. Amongst all these products are a vast number of different cleansing products one of which is Witch Exfoliating Face Wash, promising "effective deep pore cleansing" thanks to it's "active micro-granules" added vitamin E and anti-bacterial properties it's a product you'd believe ... more

4 Stars My Skin is Clean at Last! Review with images 25/01/2007
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Effective, Easy to Obtain, Mild Fragrance

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sticky Consistancy, Could use more Exfoliant Granules

I've tried several exfoliating face washes over the course of the last few months. Since starting a course of tablets designed to aid weight-loss my poor hormones have been all over the place. Not only do I currently produce enough breastmilk to feed several orphans but until recently I had a sore, blotchy face too. Even as a teenager I didn't suffer from spots to any great extent so this was a strange and upsetting experience for me. I tried my usual Boots own exfoliating face wash to tackle the problem, then Clearasil Ultra (waste of nearly a fiver that was!) and then Clean and Clear deep ... more

    Advantages Advantages Nice packagaing

Disadvantages Disadvantages Didn't help with blemishes at all, left residue on my face, didn't remove makeup or dirt

I bought this product after seeing that it had brilliant reviews on Ciao and wasn’t too expensive for a face wash. Unfortunately, this just taught me that everyone’s skin is drastically different and what works for one is not necessarily going to work for another! I associate the Witch brand with problematic, blemish-prone skin, which is exactly what I have. My T-zone gets quite oily which can cause blemishes and blackheads, and I wear makeup most days for work, so I need to clean my face very thoroughly every night. My skin is very resilient and hardy – I rarely suffer from sensitive or dry ... more

Advantages Advantages Cleans without drying out your skin

Disadvantages Disadvantages None, I love it!

I wash my face day and night religiously, even when I stumble home at 3 in the morning after a night out, because if I don't, I know that I will break out in spots in a serious way! I have sensitive combination skin, so I panicked a bit when my last trusted face wash ran out and I found that it had been discontinued. Scouring the shelves in the supermarket, I came across Witch exfoliating face wash. It had been reduced from £3.88 to £2 for a 150ml tube, so I thought that I may as well give it a go. I always have a bottle of distilled witch hazel in the medicine drawer; I find it essential for ... more

    Advantages Advantages clears, smoothens, exfoliates

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none yet

When it comes to skincare, I admit to not bothering much. I tend to start a routine and a week later I’m back to the same old ‘don’t bother’ attitude. Before I turned 15, my skin was pretty good – I’d only ever had one spot which is a bonus when you’re mid-teens. Although from the age of 15, whenever I get stressed I break out across my forehead (also the dreaded blackheads I don’t think anyone can remove on their nose). I came across this ‘exfoliating face wash’ earlier in 2012 through a beauty blog I read regularly, the girl who owns the blog claims it was the best high street product she ... more

5 Stars Washed by a witch! Review with images 19/06/2011

Advantages Advantages really works, gentle to skin but effective, lasts you a long time, acceptable price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Washed by a witch Today I'm revieweing the "Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash" by Witch. Shopper's appeal I can't afford to buy Aveda products all the time (and God knwos I'd love to!) - but lucky me, I know a brand who's almost as good when it comes to find a solution to my problematic skin. I tend to have a lot of clogged pores and sometimes even nasty spots, so I try out pretty much everything. One of the things I've tried were the products by the band Witch and I found them to be quite good! So when my parents went o the UK, I asked my mum to bring me the Exfoliating Face Wash and she did. :) ... more

    Advantages Advantages Refreshed, clean skin!

Disadvantages Disadvantages An occasionally clogged lid.

When in the aisle of the chemist, it is always the products with the ‘natural’ slant that catch my eye. One fateful day, the Witch brand and Exfoliating Face Wash caught my eye. It had just been released so was on a *special offer* - I took the plunge! I suffer with the infamous T-Zone where oil and spots tend to sprout on my forehead, nose and chin – how delightful! I haven’t look back since using Witch and I mean that with the utmost sincerity; I have always hoped to find a brand that I would turn to again and again. I spent a number of youthful years trying everything that claimed to work ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use & good value..

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me..

I have tried out a few items in the ‘Witch’ range of skincare products, all of which contain Witch Hazel extract, and have found that the results are really quite impressive, with the products being fairly good at combating spots and problem skin without being overly harsh. With this in mind, I set out to find a facial ‘scrub’ type product from the range to see if it would further help my mission to combat spot outbreaks, this being something of a regular occurrence for my unfortunate skin tone. I was pleased to see a rather large tube of ‘Witch Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash’ on sale in a local ... more

Advantages Advantages Not tested on animals, superb results.

Disadvantages Disadvantages None in my experience.

This product has amazed me. I have suffered from bad, spot prone, dull, uneven, oily skin for twenty years and am now 34 years old. I originally chose this product because I had decided that 'exfoliating' could be another route to try in my twenty year battle with my skin. I was just trying to find SOMETHING that wasn't tested on animals and was just self-consciously working my way along the counters in Boots. I was delighted when I found it and thought I'd give it a go, not expecting anything really, because after twenty years of bad skin I have just sadly accepted that is the way for me ... more
