Advantages Advantages Gorgeous Fruity Taste, Nice Bottle

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None!!!

Being a mother of two and a half (I have a three year old, a five month old and a twelve year old step son), working from home part time and trying to keep my nice house, nice and clean leaves me, quite frankly, frazzled! One night a week I set aside as "me time". I'm a creature of habit and as such I know what I like and tend to stick with it. Don't get me wrong I'm not averse to trying new things; I just have a few favourite things which I don't deviate from. Sooo, on the allotted "me time" night, I have a very long hot soak in the tub with a nice glass or two of Wolf Blass Cabernet ... more

Advantages Advantages Great smooth taste, very drinkable, reliable, award winning

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bit pricey (but a nice treat!)

I love this wine. I love any wine normally. Yes, I like my booze. But that's a different story.... This is one of those wines where you just -know- when you open the bottle and let it breath, it won't let you down. Like a trusty friend that you turn to when nothing or nobody else will do...(see I told you I drank too much... look at the nonsense spilling out of my fingers in this review!) Wolf Blass is one of Australia's multi award winning premium wine makers and this reflects in the quality of this Yellow Label cabernet sauvignon, which comes from South Australia. It's lovely, full bodied ... more

Advantages Advantages Great on it own - Great with good food!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the cheapest wine on the shelf

I am no wine buff, but I love good food, good company and good wine. Wine connousieurs can use all the flowery language they can to describe a bottle of wine, but in the end the benchmark is simple - Does it Taste good? I can spend ages just looking along the bottles of wine in the local Supermarket or wine store. The choice available nowadays is superb, but we all have our favourties. Wolf Blass Yellow Label Cabernet Sauvignon is one of my personal favourites. It stands out on the supermarket shelf - the gold eagle 'Wolf Blass' emblem and the label both suggest quality even without tasting it ... more

Advantages Advantages No hangover after 2 bottles!!!!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive

I used to be a white wine only drinker and it wasn't usually anything more varied than Black Tower or Tesco's cheap Lambrusco or Lambrini. Every time I have tried red wines in the past I've had a headache after the first glass and always found they were bitter and left a nasty taste in my mouth. About a month ago I was given a selection of red wines to try, think he was trying to impress me. Anyway, there were 2 Wolf Blass bottles......one of which is the yellow label and the other was a red label. I was so surprised at how easy this wine was to drink, the contents of whole bottle just ... more
