I had a Worcester Bosch 400 Highflow condensing boiler (floor standing) fitted at the cost of £4000. It broke down in the first month, I had to call out the engineers eight times, and had no hot water for four weeks. Eventually they replaced it. 14 months on it broke down again - out of guarantee it has cost, so far, £950 to repair, and again no hot water for a month. Be very careful when fitting. Installed Worcester Combi Boiler about ten years ago. The rubber in the expansion chamber fails every two years and the entire expansion chamber has to be replaced. We are now on our 5th replacement. These aren't mentioned in the installation notes or user instructions, which seems odd as it is clear from web searches that loss of pressure is a very common experience. ...I ended up choosing a Worcester Bosch 28i Junior.
Why did I chose Bosch? .... I have other Bosch products and they are very good, also the Worcester Bosch group and models have won CORGI awards.

OK for a few years then we have had major problems with the circuitry.
Thankfully we have the British Gas cover otherwise we would have spent a fortune repairing it.
We have had several British Gas engineers look at it including an engineer who supposedly knows these boilers well
The only solution in the end was to replace with a condensing boiler when less than 8 years old
We have had every circuit replaced more than once and several other items.

Sometimes it is very difficult to get it to fire up automatically It is so temperemental it is untrue. Change the settings and it is guaranteed not to work for a while If you buy this boiler make sure you use the British Gas maintenance. ...

A costly system. Problem with Fan, had to be replaced 4 times. Noisy system. Unreliable. Oh yes, did I mention water leakage due to over heating. Costly repairs and service.
