Exciting stuff

AdvantagesVery unique, taste last for a long time

DisadvantagesQuite expensive

"This is the latest chewing gum on the block, made by Wrigleys, who also make strips of chewing gum. As refreshing and different as X-cite may be, I still don't prefer it to my good old favourite Airwaves. X-cite was first brought out 2 months ago but hasn't been that great a hit. I think it's because of the higher than average price- you're going to have to cough up at least 50p per packet (54p in my corner shop!), compared with 30p for other chewing ..." Read review

Gum , but not as we know it.

AdvantagesBite size pearls

DisadvantagesCost

"Wrigley's 'Excite' Chewing Gum . Wrigley's, of Plymouth , Devon , are probably the worlds market leaders / manufacturers of a product that can be described as the scourge of council pavements and many a childs hair , and that of a product that is second only to smoking for addiction to , that of chewing gum. However bored with there range they have set upon redisnging the way we look at gum , and have unleashed upon us 'Excite' But what ..." Read review

X-cite incites trips to toilet

AdvantagesLooks pretty cool, quite minty at first.

DisadvantagesLoses taste quickly, has laxative effect.

"...the attractive little boxes of Wrigley's X-cite I just couldn't resist giving them a go. Full marks to Wrigley's for the look of the packaging and the advertising. The little blue and green boxes seem to be a hit with the 13-18year olds, judging by the amount of schoolkids I see around my home town with this gum. I think the 'surf-dude' adverts helped there as well. This gum is packaged in little flattish boxes, which slide open, rather like ..." Read review

R U XCITEd

Advantagesnice box

Disadvantagesnot long lasting too small expensive

"X-Cite, the chewing gum that thinks it a mint……..no no………it’s the mint that thinks it is a chewing gum, well I think it may even be a bit of both. The particular one I have is in the blue box and under “X-CITE” it says rush!!! I will presume it is the spearmint flavour even though it doesn’t actually state this on the box. To get to the little goodies inside you have to rip off a tag that says “TEAR OPEN HEAR”. I thought this kinda gave it away. On ..." Read review

DIFFERENT IS NOT ALWAYS GOOD

AdvantagesNice new idea, lots of balls and good taste

DisadvantagesPrice, poor box, too small balls and average all round

"I like to chew gum. The mint taste is a nice feeling, as well as the comfort of having something to chew in your mouth. It is even proved to be good for you with the saliva produced for your mouth, but this is no reason to stop brushing your teeth. I spend two and a half hours in an exam yesterday with my piece of gum to keep me going. When I saw a new product in my local shop in the chewing gum section I could not resist having a try of it. The ..." Read review

X.Cite Me Delight Me

AdvantagesReally Minty

DisadvantagesPricey

"Feeling slightly hung over wandering round my local Morrisons, you may have even noticed me thats right I was the one who ever time she breathed emanated a strong curry breath. Reached the checkout and I notice an interesting looking box about 1 1/2 inches in length by 1 inch across, thinking it was a box of mints and being in desperate need of something to freshen my breath tasting curry the day after is not good, I hurried threw it onto the conveyer ..." POWERFUL LITTLE BALLS

AdvantagesSomething different, make the gum ball size of your choice!

DisadvantagesThe stronger flavour is mind blowing

"A lot of you will know by now that I am a lover of most things minty (within reason!) and given that most available chewing gum is generally mint flavoured then it won’t surprise you to know I get through a fair bit of that as well. Generally I opt for Wrigley’s Orbit because it is a good price, nice flavour and sugar free. Well, it just so happens that last weekend, while I was away at Reading Festival, on a trip away from the site in search of ..." Read review

YUCK ME IS THIS WRIGLEYS

Advantagessee review

Disadvantagessee review

"I enjoy a bit of gum, you know place a little in your mouth and chew and within minutes you can blow almighty big bubbles. So big in fact you could almost take off! Well, okay I got a bit carried away then! When I was young I used to adore Wrigley’s PK, and juicy fruit – a definite YUM factor there. However as time goes by, and your ailments begin to creep up on you the sweets of your youth often have to be replaced for healthier options. ..." Read review

DON'T GET TOO X-CITED

AdvantagesFreshens breath...

Disadvantages...but mind you don't choke

"I have come to the conclusion that given the raft of advertisements on television for sweets and chewing gum that there is a lot of cash in this market. Whereas chewing gum was once regarded as common and vulgar, it is now even recommended by dentists in its sugar-free format, in the fight against plaque and gum disease. I get through quite a lot of chewing gum, as I tend to leave home fairly early and don’t eat anything for an hour or two thereafter. ..." Read review

EXCITING GUM

Advantagesrefreshing, freashens breath, different

Disadvantagesway too pricey

"I'm one of those people that are constantly chewing gum, night and day. After several painful cavaties in the back teeth, I switched from Wrigleys Doublemint to various brands of sugar free gum - all of which are less enjoyable. It wasn't until I visited my local store, I discovered the new sugar-free Wrigleys Xcite mints. I pondered for a while, deciding upon which chewing gum to purchase. Initially I was rather put off by the price of the small ..." Read review

Cool new gum

AdvantagesCools your mouth

DisadvantagesNot many in the packet

"I myself usually eat the pellets of chewing gum but I also like trying new products. The xcite I tried was peppermint flavoured and was in a small, blue square box. It cost me 49 pence in my local supermarket, which, compared to what I usually buy, I thought was a little on the expensive side. But, as I said, I like trying new products so still thought it would be worth buying. On opening, you would be surprised to find small white balls, very ..." Read review

pearly white balls with a crunch

Advantagesdifferent,strong flavour

Disadvantagesexpensive

"It was about mid-day and since having eating garlic the night before I still had this stale taste of the garlic in my mouth having brushed my teeth several times. When I went for my daily paper, looking at the chewing gum section I see this little blue box which being different catches my eye. Wrigley's excite rush is a sugarfree gum crunch balls about the same size as tic-tacs. There is 40 of these in each packet, then the bit at the side tears ..." Read review

Breathe a little excitement

Advantagessleek packaging, compact unsquashed little balls

DisadvantagesX citement over quickly

"X cite mint from wrigley's, a different kind of chewing gum. I say its a mint cos of it's little individual balls that have such a crunchy shell but little gum. Sleek packaging as like the tic tac boxes, you get one at a time but beleive me one is not enough to freshen your breath...well my breath ha ha!!! An expensive alternative to your wrigley chewing gum sticks. See with the sticks you have to chew before the flavour is realeased, it's a gradual ..." Read review

A tasty and effective after-dinner mint gum

AdvantagesA gum that can be swallowed

DisadvantagesHorrendously priced

"I started using Wrigley's X-cite Delight (the green box) after going on dialysis in 2002. It's a great-tasting product that allows me to clean my teeth after a meal even though I'm tethered to the dialysis machine for seven hours at a time. It is a lot more expensive than other chewing gums, but because of its small size I find that it doesn't have the disposal problems usually associated with chewing gum, since you can actually swallow it after chewing. Four ..." Read review
