Advantages: The story lines amazing.
Disadvantages: It gets a bit confusing.

For any of you having to read Macbeth for engish lit. or have read it in the past this book has a story line you just might recognise. Three witchs a baby, murdered king and a kingdom that can't stand the new king. Just screams to you that this isn't your normal bog standard book. Terry Pratchett, a magical man in no other sense of the word. His beautifully written comedies are a masterpiece, this one none the less. Opening phrase on the title page in the book says it all, (Starring Three Witches, also kings, daggers, crowns, storms, cats, ghosts, spectres, apes, bandits, demons, forests, heirs, jesters, tortures, trolls, turntables, general rejoicing and divers alarums.) When I ordered this book from my local store of ottakers,i ordered it with the impression that it was quite a popular book as it was apparently going to take about 12 days for it to come in which I thought was extraordinary as terry pratchatt books are in masses and for one of his books to be more popular than all his other titles I thought this was unusual for fantasy reads.i thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and am starting to envy Mr. Pratchett ... Disadvantages: Lots of sub-plots

Another classic tale from the Diskworld, Terry Pratchett's Mythical flat world which is carried through space by Atuin, the giant turtle. Although this is the 6th novel in the series, you do not need to be familiar with the series to enjoy this book. The story is a true Pratchett-style blend of comedy, satire and Shakespeare. Terry Pratchett has tried to make an adaption of the William Shakespeare play Macbeth and has be very successful! It has a great edge to the story and keeps you enticed from the first page. Everything there is supposed to be in a proper fantasy novel is in that book and comes off very strong and very well. The user friendly version of Macbeth. If you know Macbeth you will recognise the story which opens with the witches around the cauldren.Wyrd Sisters is the first of the witch books in the Discworld series. Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg have to take action because the land does not like the new king. How they go about this is full of laughs and a comedy of errors. An amusing novel one of Terry Pratchett's best, or so I think. Pratchett unlike other aurthors has chosen to take certain scenes of the famous play Macbeth by Shakespear but instead has taken the view of the three witiches.
