...no doubt that users of Xenical have experienced mixed results. It is my opinion that those who don't experience success with it, are not following the guidelines properly. There are no shortcuts - and if you're experiencing side effects (other than in your first few days) then you're doing it wrong. ...was a good idea as xenical can cause vitamin d deficiency, as this is a fat-soluble vitamin. Also be aware that if you take cod liver oil no not take it within an hour of taking xenical as this will also have an effect, I found this out very suddenly one day!!! I started taking 3 tablets a day before every meal I ate that contained fat. I was advised to eat meals with less than 5 per cent fat, any higher and I would have side effects from the xenical. ... ...I could go on to Xenical (Orlistat). So off I went and started watching what I ate as I would normally but we have to try. Made appointment to see GP for 1months time. When I went back yeah I had lost 2kg (4.4lbs) so he gave me a prescription for xenical. So went to pharmacy and got these little blue capsules. Brilliant- Started taking Xenical in June 2007 and have lost 2.5 stones. Have had no side effects at all. The pill has actually motivated me to change my diet and I exercise 5 times a week. I am a bit scared about what will happen when I come off the pills, but I think that as long as I maintain everything I should still lose weight - hopefully!

I was prescribed XENICAL inJanuary 2007, and have been following a low fat diet. After eight months while taking these capsules I have lost four stones in weight and am delighted with this medication.

I was prescribed Xenical by my doctor as I had put weight on following an operation and despite dieting was not losing any weight. The side effects were not explained to me these being constant diahorraea. However I did persevere and had successful weigh loss over a period of 6 months. Apparently this is as long as they should be taken for. I did not put the weight back on and would take these again and also reccomend them. You must not eat fatty food whilst taking them as terrible stomach cramps may occur you must follow a healthy eating plan and I am sure you will then lose weight. In all a good tablet to help with weight loss
