Advantages Advantages Cute, easy to use, all the features you could want at the touch of, well a screen!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can change to loud without the keylock disabled, some obvious features not included as standard

Why I chose the X10 'mini'... Smart phones – why are they called smart phones? I presume it means smart as in clever and not smart as in they look good, because for the most part, they don't. Big, bulky and frankly downright ugly most of them. It took me a long time when looking for a new phone to find one that looked stylish and wasn't the size of a house. Now, I understand why phones seem to have got monstrously big recently - people want a large screen for surfing the internet, watching videos and viewing pictures etc but I have a laptop for that, I want a mobile that is just that- mobile ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, customisable menus, compact phone.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Small screen may make it harder to use for some

Why the X10 Mini? When I was last due for an upgrade (Dec 2010) I desperately wanted a phone with buttons. Not too much of an ask I thought, but apparently it was. I couldn't find a decent phone with buttons on the market. I didn't really want to get a touch screen phone as I'd used various ones that friends had, and I wan't too keen on them, and I seemed to have difficulty with them. Once I realised I wasn't going to get a phone with buttons that I liked I began to reluctantly look in to getting a touch screen. I tried a few out in the shop (to see if I could work the touch screen more than ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks and feels great

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life, bluetooth function

I got this phone as an upgrade on my contract just before christmas. I was reluctant to make the change to a touch screen phone but that was pretty much all that was on offer and I was told in the shop that they will nearly all be touch screen before long so I better get used to it. The phone was free as an upgrade and I haven't seen one in the shop since, there was an X10 Mini pro brought out so this was probably the phone which replaced this one. These phones are available new on Amazon sim free from £118. I chose this model as I wanted to keep my handset and give the new one to my other ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, small, good camera, easy uploading and access to Facebook

Disadvantages Disadvantages No Bluetooth unless update the phone with a PC

The small size of this phone, and the funky colour option of lime green on the back cover (although there are a multitude of colour options available) are what sold this phone to me. It is a very small phone, so fits into your handbag / pocket easily. I have had it for nine months now, and have had no problems with the phone. It has been very reliable. Despite there being no keypad and it being almost fully operational using the touch screen, it is surprisingly easy to use. You can order the applications menu yourself, allowing you to organise it in a way that suits you. You can also ... more

Advantages Advantages Loud ringtone very compact

Disadvantages Disadvantages none i can think of

My current contract was up for renewal so I went back to my local store to re-sign and get an upgrade on my phone. I usually only have Samsungs due to past experiances with Sony Errikson's so when the salesman pulled out this phone I said no way!!! After careful consideration I decieded to accept this phone and it has been one of the best decisons I have ever made!. Meausuring 3 x 2 inches its a small compact phone, fits neatly into pockets although not so good in a big bag cos you cant find it !! Touch screen but not too sensitve like some touh can be, infact i have to press a bit harder ... more

Advantages Advantages Durable, Lightweight, Small, Ease of use, High-Quality screen and Camera, fair storage capacity.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Chunky feel, Easy to drop, occassional slow responsiveness, limited app range, Zoom feature.

My Xperia X10 Mini has been a womderful investment, and has been easy to use right from the start. I found that it almost tended to set itself up, and the phone itself is easy to navigate. Though the phone is certainly the smallest I have had, and my first smartphone, I find texting and accessing my applications to be a simple and smooth process, with the keyboard being large enough, even with the limited space of the screen. I also use my phone for quick, on-the-go photography on occassion, and I find that the photos it produces are of a very high quality. However, whilst the camera is easy ... more

Advantages Advantages All round satisfactory phone.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can prove difficult to use to newcomers of the touchscreen revolution.

As a current user of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini i believe that the only real problem this phone has is that there isn't enough of it. Which you could argue is probably due to the fact it is a baby version of what it's meant to be and you would be right however, I feel that this day in age when you go to purchase an android smart phone, it should be capable enough to handle the current android software available. In my honest opinion this is where the Mini lacks against the other models. There simply isnt enough kick in the system to give it the speed required for applications and browsing ... more

Advantages Advantages Android system is present, Well presented, Easy to use, Easy to navigate.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Often lags, Sometimes freezes, Very fragile, Can be seen as too small.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini is a smart phone that uses the Android system as it's central processing system. It is a phone which has the attribute of being small enough to fit in a single hand. You can access everything on the screen using one thumb which makes it easy to navigate and leaves you one hand free to do with as you please. This ofcourse can be seen as incorrect because it all depends on the siz of the persons hand. That being said, it seems to work for the majority of hand sizes. If you have overly large or small hands then this is not the phone for you. The phone worked well ... more

Advantages Advantages Small form factor, feels really sturdy

Disadvantages Disadvantages Abit expensive, small form factor can be a problem with apps

The Sony Ericcson X10 Mini is a small form factor phone which feature's the Linux based Android operating system. Hardware-wise, the X10 Mini looks good in its small format. The screen is good and gives a decent picture, it feels solidly built and comes with two different backs in silver and pink. It comes with a ok set of headphones and the charger, which doubles as a USB cable for you to connect to your pc. Out of the box, it came with Android 1.6 which can be updated to Android 2.1 with updates from Sony Ericcson. App-wise, out of the box it's ok. You have to install the twitter and ... more

Advantages Advantages small size, easy web browsing, email, GPS, music player, camera, connectivity to social networking

Disadvantages Disadvantages amera zooming, only one email account

I've had my x10 mini for a few weeks and I have to say that I love it. I was originally going to get a blackberry for the web browsing, email and social networking however I found them too big so I decided on the mini. First Impressions The most obvious feature that differentiates the mobile is its size, it easily fits in the palm of the hand and can be operated with only one hand. However despite the small size the screen is big enough to be comfortably used. It is big enough for texting, using the browser, photos ect. The touch screen is just right. It is not too responsive but it can be ... more
