I bought the Yamaha CDRW 8424 3 months ago, and i must say that i couldnt have spent the money better, this drive is great.
Installation is easy, just slot it into ur tower connect it to your ide cable and register it in the bios setting and thats it, windows will detect it and after that you have a fully functional cdrw drive.
This whole process takes around 20 minutes depending on your experience with computers.

I have a Yamaha 8424, (i.e 8 speed CR-R, 4 speed CD-RW, 24 speed CD-ROM). Being IDE based, it is relatively easy to install for those who are not scared to "have the lid off". It fits a standard 5.25" bay and comes with a twin IDE lead for connecting, usually to your second IDE connector on the motherboard.
