Fragile, lazy horse

Advantages: Heavy, fast, comfy.
Disadvantages: expensive to run overheats around town

Advantages: Good sturdy bike
Disadvantages: If you're loaded with luggage it gets hairy!

I previously owned an FJ12 for about 2 years which I bought froma friend of mine who had left it sitting for 3/4 years outside a friends house because he couldn't handle it anymore due to back problems. It took a bit of work to get it up to scratch, new rear shock/damper, new tyres as the old ones had gone all hard and cracked, new chain/sprockets/cush drive rubbers and a few other things. The bike also came with a full Krauser pannier system which ...
...a lot of bike rallies throughout the year and this meant that we could carry more luggage! The FJ handles quite well for such a large bike and has a very well planted centre of gravity. Being a girlie on a big bike was interesting, especially when I dropped it after stalling when pulling out of a road, but it was comforting when a guy came over to help me pick it up and found it just as heavy to lift too!
