Yamaha FS1E 50

The Yamaha FS1-E, or more commonly known as a "fizzy" was the must have moped for 16 year olds from it's UK introduction in 1972 to the late 70's, when in 1978 the government introduced new legislation to restrict the maximum speed of moped to 30mph. I include myself in that category and was the proud owner of 2 fizzy's at the time. It had the best styling compared to Honda, Suzuki, Gileras etc and was by far the most reliable. mopeds themselves are great to get about on but 2nd hand ones can sometimes cause problems.not all sellers are genuine and lie about things. however i can believe many people. mopeds in all are ver y good. they have many many advantages and only a few disasvantages eg gets you from a to b cheap reliable can drive at a young age disadvantages though are: can look shabby no persons without full license can ride with a passenger high insurance at young age with provisional i think at the end of the day a moped is great for anyone.especially younger people and are also handy if you cant quite ... more
