Advantages: Lighter/regular periods, no pregnancy, no side effects.
Disadvantages: Can be difficult to remember to take it, other than that no problems.

I switched to Yasmin from the mini-pill Cerazette because I couldn't cope with the bleeds every 14 days and terrible mood swings. my experience with Yasmin has been a good one, this is the second pill i have been prescribed as the first one i went on which i think was Dianette was absolutely awful, my skin was so spotty and greasy, i put on about a stone in weight, my moods were awful and i just cried at anything, and was feeling rather depressed. Advantages: Effective Contraception, Supposedly the least side effects of any conbined pill.
Disadvantages: New pill so long term effects are uknown.

I have been on quite a few different pills throughout my teens and early twenties and have done a lot of research regarding this method of contraception over the years. I have found, from experience and from research that the pill has many side effects which aren't always listed on the leaflet thats given out inside the box of pills. Advantages: TINY PILL! Prevents Pregnancy (although personally didnt test this lol)Cleared up minor spots on chest and back :) Good for PCOS apparently!

...at the time I started Yasmin were fairly bad (other pills I tried had flared it up again). Within a couple of weeks I noticed a big change in my skin.
