2 days after my accident i quite surprisingly got contacted by phone by Yes car credit (i have no idea how they got my number or how they knew i needed a car, it did seem odd and extremely coincidental at the time, however i didnt really think about it too much).

To crown it all, yesterday evening I had a call from Yes Car Credit customer service department, asking if I would reconsider, and offering to halve the APR on the loan. Since it was still higher than the Reg Vardy offer, I declined, but not before I told the customer service representative about the salesman's high-handed, supercilious and disrespectful attitude.
Please take heed of those opinions. I have not read ... ...draconian measures. My son and I really felt intimidated. By contrast, the service we received from Reg Vardy was excellent, and cannot be faulted. The transaction went smoothly, although I was unable to drive away the same day. After our bad experience with Yes Car Credit I wanted to let everyone else know.
Through some fault of ours and the fault of others our credit score was really low and we were having problems getting a car. We badly needed a car as we had a baby and we needed to ferry him about to babysitters so we could work.
Yes Car Credit are a company that specialise in dealing with people who have a low credit score or no credit score at all, they have their ... ...is why they are able to offer finance plus the fact that they charge an over the rate 29.9% APR. They are not a showroom you do not get to pick the car you want, they tell you what car you can have, they give you 2 cars to choose from, the cars are all bought from car auctions so anything can be wrong with them, they have their own mechanics who are supposed to check the cars but I do not think they do. I am a sucker. I must be, as I bought a car from YCC. I had a Peugeot 405 estate which was dying. It needed a lot of work to be done to bring it to a useable state and as I was getting married in a couple of months, I could not afford to get the work done. I remember the adverts (where they promise that "Yes, You Can" get a car on credit.) Now I have had credit problems in the past and thought that I wouldn't. However, I made the call and was surprised ... ...car. Yipee!
It all started well. I asked my dad to come along and we went along to the Bristol branch. I must state at this point that I thought that the problems I had were just limited to Bristol (but now I see that they are not). An appointment was made to visit the bristol showroom. £200 deposit required as i had no car to trade in. I told him what kind of car i was looking for, a small hatchback, he told me' yes sir we always have plenty in stock'. Two days later i went to the showroom was greeted well, THEN.
waited for over an hour looking at a token few posh cars in the show ... ...up.
After twelve months and now £3000 plus £3000 purchase price not including the interset, 4 garages, a lot of phone calls and letters, yes it did end up in the scrap yard..
If your wondering, Trading Standards could'nt (would'nt) do anything.

Having researched Yes Car Credit on here and another consumer site, I was well armed for my quest for a new car.
Having been turned down for credit elsewhere, I filled in all of the information on the Yes Car Credit website, which then told me I had been accepted for finance - this seems fine, but upon filling in the form again with bogus details (sorry mum!) i was still accepted, even though i said i was 18, earned £50 a week and ... ...was 4 days away and yes i could wait that long for my car, and proceeded to tell me what info she would need from me.
I had to supply:
My driving licence
2 pay slips
phone bill
council tax or utility bill
bank statement
Then the big question: "What cash commitment are you looking to put in?"
Me: Cash commitment????? Oh, you mean DEPOSIT! OK, what's the minimum I can put in?
Her: Well madam, we don't specify a minimum, it's up to you.

Yes car credit, more like ‘here’s a duff car credit’. I can’t express my thorough disappointment in Yes Car Credit (YCC from her on in). It would make my day for someone from YCC to read this and respond because I have had enough of trying to call them. I would strongly advise anyone to think seriously about buying a car from this company.
It all seemed so perfectly easy and such a brilliant idea for people such as my fiancée and myself. ...heard quite a lot about Yes Car Credit, I thought I would check out this as a possible option before committing to the loan.
Firstly I applied on-line, and was quite pleased after completing their simple application form, to find that I was accepted in principle. I then went to their showroom to find out how the Company works (ie. how they can afford to let people with "iffy" credit to drive a car away the same day (as advertised). To my dismay, ... ...no-one could see me unless I had an appointment, not even to discuss my concerns.
This being the case I made an appointment for a few days later. My husband already agreed that we could use our car (a Renault Savannah) as full deposit for a new car, but obviously wanted to be with me when I finally chose the new car.
The day of my appointment arrived. I went along and took the documentation that was requested. I think this was driving licence, ...

...the first place we saw Yes Car Credit. So I decided to look into this further. It took people with bad credit and we could drive out with a car the same day. Marvellous I thought so I sat down with hubby and told him all about it. Fine he said look into it more.
I visited the website and all that had on it was we say yes... and an online application form. So I filled in all the bits and pieces and it came back saying we had been accepted and we ... ...heard a few stories about Yes Car Credit but other than the blip about the deposit, everything was ok so we thought. I told my hubby I would do the speaking as he is so laid back he would sign anything and agree to anything and not look at the paper work.

Oh how i wish i had found this site before i purchased from Yes car credit, unfortunately i was unable to get credit to buy a car due to a bad credit history i had aquired when i got divorced.
I spoke to the Yes car credit head office who assured me i could get a car from them if i part ex'd my old rover (which was on its last wheels), and gave them a deposit of £200. They also stated i was not under any obligation ... ...document to be faxed to yes car so i could take the car that day, then the finance team duly arrived with my finance agreement already made out.
which stated that i wanted the optional extras of
Payment protection, Gap Insurance and warranty.
I did not want nor need the payment protection, and told the finance chap this who then rushed off to see the manager, who duly came to "have a quiet chat", he stated that if i refused the Payment protection ...

...on offer before we said yes to the deposit. We also told Sue that we really only wanted to spend between £100-£150 per month. Off she went again and came back with a list of 3 cars to choose from. Our options were: a huge Mondeo estate, a slightly shabby looking Citroen Xantia and a vauxhall Astra. The Astra was perhaps the most appealing, but we were ideally looking for something smaller - more like Fiesta size.
I decided to ask what cars would ... ...and almost ready to say yes to the offer. But Phillip had noticed a couple of things. Firstly, the MOT had been done in February - according to YCC's advertising campaign "all our cars come with a full 12 month MOT". We wanted the MOT re-done. ...I purchased a car from Yes Car Credit (YCC hereafter), and was pleasently suprised when they phoned me up and said 'we are pleased to accept your application'.
At only 19 years old (18 at the time) I was vunerable, and just excited about getting a new car after passing my driving test.
As you will read in other reviews, the customer service was rubbish, but unlike others I was in the Portsmouth Showroom from 1000hrs until 1730hrs. Not impressed! ... ...in a Suzuki Swift - Yes not much bigger, but in my price range and more leg room (being 6ft 9in!!)
Again, no problems with the car, quite happy. Until it rained! The rear window seal was allowing water to slip through into the car. So I phone YCC and they said I could get it into a local garage (45 miles away!). But as the car was under 3 years old, it was covered under the manufacturers warranty. So, YCC agreed I could have the car repaired under ...

We are currently involved with yes car credit, having purchased a car with them 2 years ago, biggest mistake of our lives, we had an old montego estate, which was on it's last legs, our credit is not brilliant, so we decided to try ycc, as we knew we would be turned down for other loan. We were amazed, how easy it is to get credit with them, they gave £750 for our old car towards deposit and £250 cash deposit, as the advert states that your old car ... ...about £2,000 market value and yes car credit wants probably that amount or more for us to return the car! So how can they help people with poor credit rating to have a car, quite easily, when people in situations where they cannot afford to buy outright for a car, or to have a car loan, which is alot cheaper than these people, you are tricked into situations at the time which sound too good to be true, and never knowing what's round the corner, like ...
