    Last week I was asked by a friend to accompany her to a Yes Car Credit depot in the South East. For whatever reason she had been declined a car loan by her local bank, nothing immediately sprang to mind but perhaps a combination of having gone self-employed, and a change of home address in the space of 6 months made for a difficult case. The service and highly questionable sales procedure we were subjected to at Yes Car Credit was so laughable that we left the appointment early making no commitment.     In March last year my old car (a Hyundai) was written off by my insurance company after i was hit by another car, i was therefore car-less and needed to be mobile as quickly as possible but my current insurance policy wasnt inclusive of a temporary replacement car and i would have to wait a while for the payment of my written off car so i was pretty desperate to be 'back on the road' asap - enter Yes car credit... 2 days after my accident i quite surprisingly got contacted by phone by Yes car credit (i have no idea how they got my number or how they knew i needed a car, it did seem odd and ... more

    I had come to the point where I had to get rid of my 1995 Cavalier before things started falling off, so I was on the market for a new car. I was under no illusions. Cosmetically, my old Cavalier was a wreck, although mechanically sound. I didn't expect much of a trade-in.     After our bad experience with Yes Car Credit I wanted to let everyone else know. Through some fault of ours and the fault of others our credit score was really low and we were having problems getting a car. We badly needed a car as we had a baby and we needed to ferry him about to babysitters so we could work. Yes Car Credit are a company that specialise in dealing with people who have a low credit score or no credit score at all, they have their own finance company and do not have credit checks that is why they are able to offer finance plus the fact that they charge an over the rate 29.9% ... more

    I am a sucker. I must be, as I bought a car from YCC. I had a Peugeot 405 estate which was dying. It needed a lot of work to be done to bring it to a useable state and as I was getting married in a couple of months, I could not afford to get the work done. I remember the adverts (where they promise that "Yes, You Can" get a car on credit.) Now I have had credit problems in the past and thought that I wouldn't.     Advantages Advantages teaches you to be more careful when buying a car. lovely voice on the phone.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages 'lovely voice' not so helpful after they take your money. Rubbish cars.

    It all started with a phone call to yes car credit. A very polite male voice on the other end was very helpful. An appointment was made to visit the bristol showroom. £200 deposit required as i had no car to trade in. I told him what kind of car i was looking for, a small hatchback, he told me' yes sir we always have plenty in stock'. Two days later i went to the showroom was greeted well, THEN. waited for over an hour looking at a token few posh cars in the show room. Im getting excited now seeing all the lovely shinny cars. Oops. Thats it the end of the polite stuff. Im taken into the office ... more

    This is a long review, but it needs all of the background detail to put the full story across. Having researched Yes Car Credit on here and another consumer site, I was well armed for my quest for a new car. Having been turned down for credit elsewhere, I filled in all of the information on the Yes Car Credit website, which then told me I had been accepted for finance - this seems fine, but upon filling in the form again with bogus details (sorry mum!) i was still accepted, even though i said i was 18, earned £50 a week and was losing my job!     Yes car credit, more like ‘here’s a duff car credit’. I can’t express my thorough disappointment in Yes Car Credit (YCC from her on in). It would make my day for someone from YCC to read this and respond because I have had enough of trying to call them. I would strongly advise anyone to think seriously about buying a car from this company. It all seemed so perfectly easy and such a brilliant idea for people such as my fiancée and myself.     Disadvantages Disadvantages They ignore what you tell them, and try to push for a decision.

    My husband and I were faced with a pressing decision....take out a loan to carry out major repairs to the brakes on our beloved 7 seater (which we were told would cost about £500), or replace it. I went to our friendly local finance company (Welcome Finance) and was told I could have a loan which would either enable us to get a replacement vehicle, or allow us to repair the one we have with enough money left over for anything else we wanted to do.     If only I had found this website before saying "Yes"... Having graduated from University in 2000, I had accrued several 'black marks' on my credit rating and was turned down for car finance by various dealerships. I needed a car for work, travelling to visit family and also to give me a little independence. After seeing one of those ads on telly, I checked out the Yes website and found I was eligible for finance. Now, having been to University you'd think I'd be at least mildly intelligent enough to do some background checking on this company via websites like these. Believe me, now I wish I ... more
