I bought my Zanussi last week after finally losing patience with my 2½ year old Indesit. In the time I owned it, the repair man had been out more times than I care to remember. His name was Dave, I knew all about his family, his martial status, and most importantly, that he took milk and one sugar in tea, milk and two sugars in coffee, and he’d a fondness for McVities Chocolate Digestives. This was the 2nd Indesit I’d had in that time, as the motor blew up in the first one after only 8 months of ownership. So after losing my patience, even though I was sorry to say it, I told Dave that I ... more

I am new to the Zanussi brand, I usually stick with brands I have heard of but I heard many good things about this particular washing machine and so was keen to try it. I am glad I did as it is a super machine which works really well and is well worth the money that I paid for it. I highly recommend it to you. I was quite alarmed by the price of £400 but from my experience with large electrical items like this if you pay that bit extra then you generally get a machine which is much better in quality and I am pleased to say in the case of this machine it certainly is true. The washing machine ... more

    Advantages Advantages easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages quick wash is 45 minutes long

This washing machine has been fantastic so far. There are various settings on it for different wash types including eco settings and even a special wash for trainers. You can set it for a delayed start for up to 9 hours ahead and there are various speed setting as well depending on the type of wash you want to do. I have found as well that it is a quiet machine even at 1600 spin I have found it very easy to use and got used to the contols and settings very quickly. Although I haven't had it for very long I am extremely happy with it and hope to have it for a long time to come. I would ... more

2 Stars Quick review of Zanussi ZWF 16581 by allenH 23/12/2008
I purchased my Zanussui ZWF1651W washing machine from Gillmans in Gloucester August 2008. As a washing machine it does all it says on the tin. The problem is it eats socks and chews trouser legs, then stops working. Since August I have had two engineer visits to remove 3 socks and 2 pares of trousers ruined. Gillmans manager Mark has told me although I have not been charged for the visits, I could have been charged. We have now lost the confidence in the machine and are seeking its replacement. As a washing machine I would give it a 5 star ... more
